Splatoon Guide › Zone 3

Stage 12: Flooder Junkyard

Two Flooders patrol this platform, constantly spreading ink. Flooders can’t be destroyed, so you need to avoid them. Ink your way along the left side of the platform to retrieve the key, then continue to the vault at the back of the platform. To avoid being spotted by a Flooder, stay in squid form and swim through your ink. Seekers come in handy here, creating narrow, linear trails of ink for you to swim through.

Sunken Scroll

Veer right on the second platform to access an Inkrail leading down to this level’s Sunken Scroll.

This platform is swarming with Octodivers and Twintacle Octotroopers—retrieve the armor before advancing any further. Destroy the crates here to reveal a mesh opening in the floor. Enter squid form to drop through the mesh to access a lower walkway. From here you can access the platform’s vault–the key is located in the adjoining Octodiver-infested area. The vault unlocks a propeller-lift leading to the platform’s launchpad. But deal with the two Twintacle Octotroopers guarding the launchpad first.

This large grid-like area is patrolled by five Flooders. You must search this area for a lone Octodiver carrying a key. Use Seekers to rapidly ink narrow paths for you to swim through—this is also a good method for uncovering the hidden Octodiver. Be aware of the surrounding Flooders and make sure you have a path of escape, even if it means returning to the platform’s checkpoint. Once you’ve recovered the key, make your way toward the vault. The vault reveals an Inkrail leading directly to the Zapfish.

Tip

There are two balloons located directly beneath the Zapfish’s platform. Drop down from the Inkrail to splat these balloons. You can then use the Gushers atop the two patrolling Flooders to return to the Zapfish’s platform.
