Splatoon eGuide Zone 4

Stage 19: Tumbling Splatforms

This level is filled with rotating platforms, requiring some finesse and attention to detail. This platform rotates clockwise. So when you hop on it, you need to continually sidestep to the left to stay on top. It’s not a bad idea to ink the platform as well, giving you the ability to swim through the ink if the platform becomes too vertical for you to stand on. When the platform rotates to its most vertical position, cross the top and jump to the nearby shipping container where you can obtain some armor. Fire down on the Twintacle Octotrooper below and proceed to the launchpad.

When you encounter this Octobomber, hide behind these blue storage tanks to avoid being spotted. Instead of attacking the Octobomber directly, toss a Splat Bomb over the tanks to take him out. Beyond the Octobomber are two large rotating blocks, both rotating counter-clockwise. Ink the sides of these blocks and sidestep right while crossing them. From the second block, ink the nearby wall and squid jump over to it to reach the next checkpoint.

Sunken Scroll

After dropping off the yellow grate, turn around to spot these crates tucked away in a hidden alcove. The orange crate contains this level’s Sunken Scroll.

These three rotating platforms are the trickiest to ascend. Ink the side of the first platform, then when it rotates to a vertical position, enter squid form and swim up the side to reach the top. Sidestep right along the platform while inking the side of the second platform. When the two platforms are aligned vertically, swim up the side of the second platform. Keep continuing in this fashion with the third platform until you can reach the Zapfish on the high perch ahead.
