Beware of the four charging Octopods—if they get close, they’ll explode, damaging you with enemy ink. Instead of shooting all these Octopods individually, simply target the large Balloon Fish. When the Balloon Fish explodes, it spreads your ink over a wide area, eliminating all the Octopods. Target Balloon Fish in the future to spread ink over large swaths of territory.
Watch out for Octoballs on this platform, particularly when crossing the narrow ramp—lay down a line of ink in their path to prevent them from smacking you. Octoballs are practically helpless when submerged in your ink, making them much easier to target. But once they wiggle out of your ink, they’ll continue to roll around at full speed—deal with them before they can escape.
Sunken Scroll

While crossing the mesh catwalk, look down to spot a small platform with a crate and a launchpad. Enter squid form to drop through the catwalk, landing on the platform below. Smash the crate to retrieve this level’s Sunken Scroll, then use the launchpad to return to the catwalk.
Use the launchpad near the base of the towering wall to access this Ink Cannon. Use it to coat the distant wall with ink. While you’re at it, target the floating balloons and the two Twintacle Octotroopers atop the wall. Once you’ve inked the entire wall, drop down to the platform below and begin swimming up the inked wall. But you must move fast—the Squee-G along the bottom portion of the wall will clean up your ink. If necessary, apply touch-ups with your main weapon to connect your ink. Swim to the top of the wall to rescue the Zapfish.
