Using Chompy Buster and Chompy Mage

Chompy Bola can cause problems in racing packs. If you’re outside the pack, aim for a car in the middle and watch the damage numbers pile up. Since Chompy Bola stays close to the ground, you don’t need to be too concerned with aiming. It’s better if you have a target lock but you can fire off a bola when someone’s in front of you and you’re aiming in the right general direction.

Chompy Ball is primarily a short-range ability. A cluster of Chompy Balls is released in every direction, and a single, slightly larger Chompy Ball is lobbed ahead. Chompy Ball is mainly a defensive ability when you’re in a crowd or someone is trying to push you around. However, it has slightly better single-target damage than a Chompy Bola, so if you get a target lock on a racer who’s not too far ahead, use Chompy Ball.

Racing Against Chompy Buster and Chompy Mage

If you want to muscle Chompy Mage out of the way, get in with one hit and zip past him. Unless your vehicle has a shield or similar ability, you’ll take damage from Chompy Ball quickly; it doesn’t have much of a cooldown. If he’s in your rearview, don’t get caught up in a pack of racers.
