Skylanders® SuperChargers eGuide The Adventure The Spell Punk Library

Chapter 23: The Spell Punk Library

Big Book of Secrets: Investigate the Spell Punk Library

Most of this chapter takes place within the books found by your friends but there are just as many treasures in the library itself.

Talk to Cali

There’s no avoiding Cali at the start of the Chapter but if you want to explore first, you can opt out of diving into the pages of the book she found for now.

Book 1: The Darkness: Get to the Temple

As soon as you gain control of your Skylander, turn around the get the piles of treasure behind the starting point. The bright lights in the area act like jump pads. Jumping on them flings your Skylander high into the air.

In most places, falling from a platform resets your Skylander’s position. However, whenever you see coins leading down, follow them and you’ll likely find extra treasure. The first line of coins leads to a Random Reward Object.

Use the bounce pads to reach the top of the hill. Note the platform that wiggles just before it flips over. You’ll see more of these soon.

While Spell Punks put in appearances throughout this Chapter, the main enemy you face is a sword-and-shield melee brawler named Pain Glass. The first one pops up on the other side of the hill. Destroy the crates and collect the treasure before you bounce up to face it. These foes’ attacks are a shield bash and a jab with their sword. Ranged attacks work best but you can also wait for them to miss their attack and hit them while they recover.

Flipping platforms aren’t too difficult to navigate until you find a few of them in a line. Leap to the first one in line as it is finishing its flip. Jump to the next platform quickly and get to a stable spot as soon as you can. With some practice you can jump up and land on the same flipping platform but it’s best to keep moving.

Use the bounce pad past the first pair of flipping platforms to reach a platform above and slightly behind it. It’s the first of three flipping platforms that lead to a Random Reward Object.

Return to the bounce pad and jump ahead to an encounter with multiple Pain Glass enemies and a Water Spell Punk. The two flipping platforms beyond that encounter lead to a similar fight but with a Life Spell Punk in place of the Water Spell Punk.

Drop off the ledge where you fought the Life Spell Punk. Destroy the boxes underneath the tree to reveal an Epic Treasure Chest.

Use the bounce pads to return to the main path and another encounter against Pain Glass enemies and both a Life and a Water Spell Punk. The Temple, and the end of Book 1, is a few jumps and a short walk ahead.

Sharpfin has the next book and the Sky Star Challenge but take some time to explore more of the library. Use the large chair behind Cali to bounce up to the upper level. There’s a SuperCharger Gate in a nook beyond the Mabu child. Reassemble the Gate and step through.

Collect the treasure and interact with the book to be sent into another story that opens up with a preview of the area. Note the locations of piles of treasure, a Wish Stone, and an Epic Treasure Chest.

You have two tasks on this map: pick up everything you see and keep ahead of the wheel of background scenery destruction. The Epic Treasure Chest marks the end of the level and the spot where the destruction caused by the wheel ends. The wheel won’t destroy the platform with the Epic Treasure Chest.

When you approach Sharpfin, push the shelf behind him to reveal a secret nook. Switch to a Sky Vehicle before you speak with Sharpfin.

Flynn has the next book. Before you meet with the pilot, use the chairs around the library to bounce up to collect coins and reach the tops of bookshelves to discover more treasures. There’s a big, pink chair not far from Flynn that acts like a super jump pad. Jump on it and spin around in midair to land atop a floating platform with an Epic Treasure Chest. Drop off the side opposite the chest to visit with Persephone.

Push the shelf behind Persephone to reveal Poppy, a Skystones Overdrive player. The first time you defeat her, she hands over the Thunder Tow Skystone.

Stand where the broken staircase ends near Persephone and jump out to a covered alcove that broke away from the rest of the library. There’s a Random Reward Object there for you to claim.

Look for a Mabu below the spiral staircase near Persephone. There are a few piles of treasure and a book near him. Inspecting the book starts a three round brawl against waves of Pain Glass enemies and Spell Punks.

There are lulls between rounds where food appears so you can restore your Skylander’s health. When you complete the last round, a line of coins pops up and leads you to an Epic Treasure Chest.

Book 3: The Ancients Plan: Reach Ancient’s Peak

The book near Flynn is another side-scrolling area filled with Pain Glass, Spell Punks, and treasure. Drop down in the first gap in the path and backtrack a bit to get a Random Reward Object.

The Darkness appears and destroys the path, forcing you to go underground to continue. The spiky purple ball at the bottom of the path is called a Creeping Dark. It spits out tiny copies of itself. Both large and small versions are invulnerable so you must avoid touching them.

There’s a Wish Stone on a slightly elevated platform ahead. After you pick it up and move ahead, The Darkness pops up again and changes the map.

Battle past a Pain Glass and Spell Punk but when you come to the next Creeping Dark, jump up to the next level and turn around. The land falls away as you backtrack to a Random Reward Object. Return to the trail of coins on the main path and take out the Pain Glass waiting at the end of it.

Follow the trail of coins that curve downward. There’s an Epic Treasure Chest tucked away in a nook carved in the side of the hill. Use the bounce pad to return to the top path.

When The Darkness pops up again, be ready to tackle a large group of enemies. Spell Punks are everywhere, including Life Spell Punks. Hunt them down first to make the fight go faster. Move past this last fight to reach Ancient’s Peak.

Back in library, push the shelf behind Flynn to reveal a Live Wire Lock on an Epic Treasure Chest. Drive straight ahead over the button to shut off the bottom left fan. The button in the top left shuts off the fan on the bottom right. With that fan off, grab the two sparks closer to the bottom of the puzzle. The button in the bottom left shuts off the final fan and allows you to pick up the last spark.

Mags has the next book and you need to use a Sea Vehicle to enter it. Before you start on the Sea Star Challenge, push the shelf near Mags to reveal a Random Reward Object.

Mags sends you to Hugo and the Land Star Challenge next. The challenge calls for Handling more than any other vehicle attribute, so choose your vehicle appropriately.
