After you regain control of your Skylander, go to the right for a Random Reward Object . Go to the left to get an update from Hugo and Cali. Walk away from the pair and get the Wish Stone . Walk past Hugo and jump into your Land Vehicle to start the Land Star Challenge.
The strong winds in Motley Meadows caught three Pit Crew members by surprise and they need rescuing. The crew will be fine long enough for you to practice your driving and fighting. Take out the Chompies and collect the four puzzle pieces in the area for bonus Gearbits. Most of them are in the open, but one is hidden behind boxes under the ramp on the right (as you face the locked gate in the back of the area).
There’s also a hidden boost pad behind a breakable wall on the right. Boost up the ramp to reach an upper cicular track with crossed white flags. Touching these flags begins a mini-challenge to crash into a number of barrels within a time limit. Follow the track around for the first five barrels, then jump off the end to get the sixth. Your reward is additional Gearbits. You can retry this mini-challenge as many times as you like, until you complete it successfully.
With all the Chompies defeated and bonus Gearbits collected, rescue the three Pit Crew members by using the boost pads to reach them. They’re marked with arrows and hanging from the bent light poles.
After you save all three, Kaos sends down new enemies including an Iron Equalizer. Watch out for the Equalizer’s missiles and the laser targeting beam of the other wheeled enemies.
Defeat the forces of Kaos and the Pit Crew points out a Red Toolbox on the broken bridge above. These Red Toolboxes contain a random mod that allows you to change the performance of a SuperCharger’s vehicle. Collecting the mod opens the gate and changes your objective.
Use the boost pad to clear the gap and reach a long road with construction gates and homes on the verge of collapse. Flynn and Hugo pop up to let you know that you’re in a zone where Earth element Skylanders are stronger. Going forward, most zones with an elemental affinity are determined randomly.
Take the ramp up to the right after the first quick jump. Stay to the right and look for a ramp that leads to another Red Toolbox.
Follow the circular track back down to the main area. Collect as many Gearbits as you can. Destroy buildings and gates to reveal even more Gearbits.
A flight of Kaos Cruisers appears but isn’t much of a threat. Shoot them down and stick to the middle of the next big jump to snag another Red Toolbox . Follow the road through a larger ship from Kaos’ fleet and weave between the waves of Kaos Cruisers to reach the next area and complete the Land Star Challenge.
