Distress Call: Reach Skylands
You take control of a Land Vehicle as Flynn, Cali, and Hugo struggle to open a portal to Skylands. They explain the vehicle’s controls and your only task is to collect as many of the Gearbits in the tunnel as possible. To increase the value of the Gearbits, Drift while driving. You know you’re doing it right when the Gearbits change colors.
The Great Escape: Rescue Your Friends
Follow the trail of coins and use the Jump button to hop up the step. Walk down the ramp of rollers to the right. Continue until you find a Bounce Pad, marked with a green arrow.
These Bounce Pads launch Skylanders higher than their regular jump. Use this Bounce Pad to reach the top of the cages. Grab the Epic Treasure Chest and fall back down to the walkway below.
Follow the line of coins up the next ramp where Chompies guard another Bounce Pad. You must defeat all the Chompies to removed the Battle Gate blocking the Bounce Pad. Bounce up to the top of the swaying cage and look for a Wish Stone atop a nearby cage.
Jump back to the larger cage and then on to the next, where another Chompy ambush takes place. After you eliminate the Chompy threat, jump into the hatch from which they emerged. The sleeping Chompies here, along with King Chompy the Eighth, guard an Epic Treasure Chest.
Exit the Chompy container and follow the trails of coins until you see Flynn and your other friends. The Shifty Stickler near the locked door has the key strapped to his back. Defeat the troll, use the key to free your friends and use the Bounce Pad to reach the top of the cage, which has a Random Reward Object. To open the door to continue the adventure, you must solve the Live Wire Lock on the door. Interact with the lock and your view changes to inside the lock.
