Not all modes are available immediately. When you win a race or set a record in Time Trial mode, you earn rewards. Rewards include Wish Stones, Vehicle Mods, and new Race Modes.
Single Race
The Single Race mode is the first mode of racing available. You face a field of seven opponents.
Time Trial
Completing a single race as a Single Player, regardless of your finishing position, opens up Time Trial mode for that track. Time Trial is a race against the clock.
Boss Pursuit
After placing the Land, Sea, or Sky Trophy on your Portal of Power and earning a star in Single Race (Single Player), Boss Pursuit is unlocked for that track. In Boss Pursuit, you must stop the Villain from completing three laps. Defeating and capturing a Villain opens up that Villain for your use.
SuperVillain Cup and Mirror Cup
Opened in the same way as Boss Pursuit, these Cups are a serie s of four races. The races take place on each of the four tracks of a given type (Land, Sea, or Sky). You earn points based on your finishing position in each race. First place is worth 15 points, second is worth 12, third is worth 10, and the remaining spots are worth one point fewer each, down to eighth place’s five points. The driver with the most cumulative points at the end of the final race wins the cup.
