High Volt was once the commander of a special security force that was in charge of patrolling the border between the known regions of Skylands and the mysterious uncharted region known as the Outlands. From atop the Shockspire Tower, their security headquarters, High Volt vigilantly monitored any strange activity beyond the border, knowing that Kaos and his minions were always up to no good. Over the years, he had defended Skylands against countless Greeble attacks, Troll uprisings, and even a few evil food chains that were attempting to expand. But on a recent patrol mission into the Outlands, High Volt discovered a heavily guarded construction site, where Kaos’ minions appeared to be building a colossal Doom Station of Ultimate Destruction! Realizing at once that all of Skylands was in danger, he raced to the Skylanders Academy to inform Master Eon and joined the Skylanders in their fight to stop it!

SuperCharged Challenge: Shooting Bolt

Shoot the thieves and collect as many stolen diamonds as possible before the end of the race!

StarPoints GoalReward
First 10,000 +25 Gearbits
Second 40,000 +1 Wish Stone
Third 90,000 +1 Special Item

Diamond thieves are trying to escape the Dragon Spine with their loot, but they need to escape High Volt and it won’t be easy. You have seven minutes to complete three laps while recovering diamonds. The diamond thieves continually respawn, so you’ll never run out of targets.

The description is a bit misleading for this challenge. Crowd Control does a fine job of taking down one target at a time but your score will be much higher if you drive into the middle of packs and unleash the explosion from Doomproof Forcefield. It does much more damage and hits multiple targets.

Overview

Static Spear (the ability, not the weapon) is a three-swing combo that alternates between spear thrusts and a shield uppercut. It includes some forward motion so you can attack and keep moving. Shock-it Shield is a good ability to begin with and it becomes great when you unlock High Volt’s Soul Gem ability, Re-Fused. You can’t block attacks with it forever, so look for opportunities to blast nearby enemies with accumulated charges instead of letting the time run out.

Traveling Light stops at the first target it encounters, so you can’t throw it through nearby enemies to reach one farther away.
