Gold Brick Challenges

Get to the Facility

After emerging from the lab, Alan gets separated from the group. As he is surrounded by raptors, Alan is rescued by Eric. Eric has the ability to camouflage himself. Hold down the Action button to use this ability; then move to the right and sneak past a raptor. Once past the dino, press the Action button again to return to normal mode and break some crates. Assemble the pieces into a toy that distracts the raptor.

Take control of Alan and move to Eric. Cut away the vines around the front of the vehicle with the raptor claw; then pull on the tow hook. Attach it to the tree, return to the vehicle, and use the winch to reveal a small door.

Eric can crawl through the small door and get to a platform high in the tree. Break some objects and assemble the pieces into a ladder for Alan to climb onto the platform. Then use Alan’s raptor claw to cut away some vines. While doing this, one vine hangs across a gap. Jump to the vine and swing back and forth so you can then jump onto a platform to the right. Head down the side of the tree and continue to an abandoned facility.

Heal the Ankylosaurus

A sick Ankylosaurus is in the facility. Cut away the vines over the large pile of dino droppings with Alan’s raptor claw. Then use Eric to search the pile to see what the dino needs to be healed.

The first item is a carrot. Move to the facility’s right side and have Alan dig up the carrot from a dig spot. Carry it back to the dino.

Cut away the vines on the vending machine with the raptor claw. Then use the vending machine to get a chocolate bar. This is the second item the dino needs.

Locate a vine to the vending machine’s right. Jump and grab onto the vine to shake a banana loose. Deliver this last ingredient to the dino and it will be healed.

As a raptor comes to attack, the Ankylosaurus hits it with its armored tail and smashes it into a gate, creating a crack. You are now in control of this dinosaur, so move to the gate and press the Action button to swing the tail and break the gate. Exit through the gate to complete the level.

Challenges

Red Brick

The vehicle with the tow hook contains a Red Brick. Select a character with a grappling hook and pull open the door to get the Red Brick that is a Collectible Detector.

Fossil Piece A

After breaking the vending machine to get the chocolate bar, assemble the pieces back together to fix it. Use a character with a stun rod to charge the generator and the fossil piece comes out of the vending machine.

Fossil Piece B

Before leaving the facility, use the Ankylosaurus to break open a room with a cracked wall—it’s to the right of the vending machine. Inside, find the second fossil piece.

Hub Visit Once you’ve completed this level and returned to the hub, you now have Eric Kirby. Send him though the small door to the lab’s right. Once he gets to the other side, push a boulder along some checkered tiles and into the water. Switch to Alan and get across the water by jumping onto the floating boulders. Once on the other side, dig up some bricks and assemble them into the third level access terminal.
