How to Unlock & Collect Characters

LEGO Jurassic World features two different ways to “collect” playable characters. Story characters are the folks who join your traveling party at various points as you play through the 20 levels of Story Mode. All of these people become automatically available to you, free of charge, whenever you switch to Free Play Mode.

As you play through the Story, level by level, you also unlock dozens of other characters that subsequently appear in the park hub areas. These unlocked characters must be purchased if you want to add them to your playable party in Free Play Mode. Most are affordable, but a few special bonus characters are very expensive.

To purchase any unlocked character in a hub area, just walk up to him/her and press Use; then press the Buy button indicated onscreen. Alternatively, when in Free Play, bring up the character grid and purchase the characters directly from there.
