Treat the Sick Triceratops

It looks like you have a sick dino on your hands. Luckily, you have someone who can help. Take control of Ellie Sattler and move to the large pile of dino droppings. Search it to find out why the dinosaur is sick. Ellie discovers that the Triceratops needs three items to make it feel better: an apple, a carrot, and an ice pop.

Switch to Gerry Harding and look for a small brick to the dinosaur’s right. Harding can use it to follow some tracks that lead to a small plant. Ellie must water it with her watering can. After the plant grows to a large flower, climb the stalk to get to a ledge. There Ellie can jump into another pile of dino droppings to find the ice pop. Grab it and feed it to the Triceratops.

The second item you need is in a third droppings pile on the far left side of this area. Use Ellie to search the pile and pull out a carrot. Return to the Triceratops and give it to the sick dinosaur. One more item to go.

A small plant needs watering along the area’s left side. Use Ellie to do this and the plant blooms into a large flower. Jump onto the flower to bounce to a ledge. Switch to Gerry and use his rifle to shoot the target and lower a rope. Climb the rope to get to the top ledge. Break up a green fern on the right to find a small brick. Gerry can use it to follow a trail to the left to find yet another small plant. Ellie must water this plant so it grows into a tree. Break up the tree and grab the apple that drops. Take it back to the Triceratops and feed it to the dino to finish the healing process.

Help the Triceratops Leave

Once you’ve fed the three items to the Triceratops, it stands. You can now take control of it. Move it toward the log that has fallen across the field. Hold down the Attack button to make the dino charge and break the log. Then continue to the upper-right of this area and charge a large tree to knock it down so it smashes a boulder and reveals some bricks.

Switch to Gerry and assemble the bricks into an access panel. Use the panel and enter the three colored codes as they appear on the screen to activate the panel and open the gate. Move through the gate to complete the level.

Challenges

Amber Brick

After toppling the large tree with the Triceratops, an Amber Brick appears when the boulder is crushed. Walk over and grab it to unlock the Triceratops for Free Play.

Fossil Piece A

Once you’ve taken control of the Triceratops, move to the area’s lower-left corner and charge at a boulder with a glowing crack in it. After the boulder is busted, it reveals a dig spot. Switch to a character who can dig and find this fossil piece hidden in the ground.

Fossil Piece B

A character that can go into the dark is needed to get this fossil piece. Use the bouncy flower to get onto the ledge; then venture into this dark cave to find what you seek.
