Gold Brick Challenges

Escape from the T. Rex

This is a driving level where you must escape from a hungry dinosaur. Steer the truck to the left and right to try and avoid the T. rex.

In order to complete the True Survivor challenge, you must collect 20,000 studs. Unlike other levels where you can take your time, this level requires gathering as many studs as possible while driving. Look for trails of individual studs and steer toward them. A circle of studs with a blue stud in the middle is at the end of the short trail. You must hit several of these circles to complete this challenge.

While collecting studs, you must also dodge the T. rex’s attacks. If it hits your truck, you lose some of your studs—and it’s difficult to make up these losses. Make sure to steer away from the T. rex when it’s near.

Challenges

Red Brick

In order to get this Red Brick, you must throw five flares into the mouth of the T. rex. Wait until the dino opens its mouth, and then hold down the Attack button. Aim for the mouth and release the button to throw the flare. This Red Brick unlocks Malcolm Mode.

Fossil Piece A

This fossil piece must be collected while driving. Stay to the right of the screen and head along a path that leads off from the main route. Stay in the center of this path to run over the fossil piece and acquire it.

Fossil Piece B

The second fossil piece is along a path on the route’s left side. Stay to the left and then follow this path when it appears. As you go across a bridge of wooden planks, center on the path to collect the fossil piece while driving over it.

Hub Visit After completing the T. rex Chase level, you return to the Jurassic Park hub. Move to the left and break up a log. Assemble the bricks into a bouncy pad and jump on it to get to the top of a ledge. Switch to a small character, such as Timmy Murphy, and climb through the small door to access an even higher ledge. Hit a ladder to drop it down so other characters can get up there. Finally, use Alan to dig through the dirt and find some bricks. Assemble them into a third level access terminal. Use it to access the next three levels.
