Gold Brick Challenges

The Lower Camp

Someone is capturing dinosaurs and putting them into cages. Sarah and Nick must free the dinos and defeat anyone that gets in their way. Clear out the enemies near the first cage. Then use Nick’s bolt cutters to cut the lock and free the Pachycephalosaurus.

The dino is sick from the strong tranquilizers its captors used. Switch to Sarah and search the small droppings pile in the cage to discover how to heal it. You must find three different items and feed them to the Pachycephalosaurus. The first item, an ice cream cone, can be found in a large droppings pile to the right. Give the cone to the dino. As you explore the camp, more enemies appear, so be sure to defeat them before continuing your search.

The next item, a mushroom, is cooking over a fire. To get it, break an object to the fire’s right and reassemble it into a turning mechanism. Use the mechanism to get the mushroom; then take it to the dino.

The last item, a banana, is at the lower camp’s far-right end. Switch to Nick and use his crowbar to open a large metal crate and get the banana.

Once all three items are fed to the dino, it gets up and you can switch to it. While in control of the Pachycephalosaurus, defeat some enemies, and then move all the way to the lower camp’s right end. Use its Charge ability to break the rock with a crack in it. Switch to one of the human characters and assemble the pile of bricks into steps Nick and Sarah can use to get to the upper camp.

The Upper Camp

Clear out the enemies near the fire of the upper camp. Then use Sarah to jump high and grab a bar attached to the large dino cage. Switch to Nick and jump to grab the bar’s other side. This releases the large Stegosaurus.

Take control of the Stegosaurus and use it to defeat the enemies that appear. Pressing the Action button causes it to use its power tail swing attack. Use the tail to open the small cage with a baby dino inside. Once you do, the Stegosaurus clears a path to the right so you can continue.

Clear out some more enemies in the camp’s far-right side. Take control of Sarah and search a large droppings pile for a key. Use it to open a large lock on a cage to the left in order to release a Triceratops.

Use the Triceratops’ charge ability to destroy the two light generators on either side of the large headquarters tent. Switch to a human character and then assemble the piles of bricks left behind into racetrack starter lights. When this is complete, the Triceratops charges through the tent to complete the level.

Challenges

Amber Brick

There is a small tent in the upper camp that is locked. Select a character with a raptor claw or a hunting knife and cut through the rope to open the tent. An Amber Brick is inside; it unlocks the Stegosaurus.

Fossil Piece A

Throughout the two camps are three blue generators. Use a character with a stun rod to charge all three generators to acquire this fossil piece.

Fossil Piece B

In order to get this fossil, you need the Dilophosaurus. Three glowing wheelbarrows must be destroyed by several venom attacks. One wheelbarrow is in the lower camp and the other two are in the upper camp. Destroy all three to get the fossil piece.
