Everything’s come down to this! Fight after fight, champ after champ has all led to fighting the world’s greatest in his own ring. Get ready to give it your all, because your opponent is known for his quick, brutal KOs and he’s not about to go easy on the current World Circuit Champ! You’ve got this, kid! Give him your best and don’t take any of his!
The other fights can be won with trained, tempered skill, but Mr. Dream will decide if you should win or lose every time you fight him. Some fights he throws you a bone, but others he’s as merciless as they come.
Right as the fight begins, he releases a barrage of uppercuts. He keeps up the pressure for the first minute and a half of the fight. A single uppercut and you’re on the ground, so perfect dodging is a must! As soon as he throws an uppercut, dodge, grab a couple of headshots, then get ready for the counterattack. You’re not going to get too much damage on him in this first half of the round, but every bit of damage goes a long way toward taking down the champ.
Once the first minute and a half passes, he changes up his strategy and starts throwing jabs. Watch his eyes; the eye that blinks indicates where his next punch is going to come from. If he blinks both eyes, give him a clean face hit to earn a Star. Dodge the jabs, counter, repeat.
You’re taking this fight all the way to round 3, without a doubt, and each round is a little different than the one before it. The second round is a much more technical affair. He mixes in uppercuts with his jabs. Punish his uppercuts with counterpunches. If he raises his gloves to his face and blinks his eyes, immediately throw a gut punch to net a Star. He rushes you down after you hit him in this state, so get ready for a barrage of heavy hits!
The third round follows a similar pattern to round 2, so keep up the dodge-counterpunch strategy and he’ll be down for the count. This is it, kid! Send him back to Dreamland!
