Weapons
These powerful items can be earned by completing the challenges found in Sacred Training Chambers.
Fire (Flaming Arrows)
This Weapon adds a spinning fireball to every arrow Pit fires. |
Sacred Bow
This Weapon allows Pit’s arrows to fly a bit faster and much farther. |
Protective Crystal
This Weapon produces two magic crystals that circle Pit, damaging any enemies they touch. |
Sacred Treasures
These items must be recovered from Medusa’s Gatekeepers. The Three Sacred Treasures can only be used when Pit reaches the Palace in the Sky.
Sealed Casket
Each Sealed Casket you recover from a Gatekeeper contains one of the Three Sacred Treasures. Sealed Caskets are automatically opened when Pit is ready to confront Medusa. |
Mirror Shield
The Mirror Shield allows Pit to repel enemy projectiles. |
Light Arrows
Light Arrows allow for powerful, long-range shots. |
Wings of Pegasus
The Wings of Pegasus allow Pit to fly. |
Hearts
As the currency of Angel Land, Hearts can be used to purchase items from Stores and Black Marketeers. These items almost always appear when an enemy is vanquished, and more powerful enemies tend to drop more valuable Hearts. Hearts disappear after a few seconds, so grab them as quickly as you can.
Heart
Collect one of these to add a single Heart to Pit’s funds. |
Half Heart
Collect one of these to add five Hearts to Pit’s funds. |
Big Heart
Collect one of these to add 10 Hearts to Pit’s funds. |
Special Items
These items are very rare—don’t pass one by without grabbing it!
Harp
Touch a Harp to transform nearby enemies into Mallets. Any Mallets you collect can be used to break the Centurion statues found in fortresses. |
Arrow
These special arrows only appear in Sacred Chambers, and only when you’ve managed to impress the gods. Each arrow you collect increases Pit’s Strength rating, making his attacks more powerful. |
Credit Card
The Credit Card can only be found in Treasure Chambers. This item gives you a line of credit at Black Marketeers. Once you purchase an item on credit, the Hearts you collect are automatically applied to your debt. You can’t replenish your funds or make more purchases until the debt is paid off, so spend wisely! |
Common Items
These items can be purchased from merchants and/or found scattered throughout Angel Land. But that doesn’t mean they’re easily acquired—some of these items can be very expensive.
Mallet
Use Mallets to free Centurions trapped within fortress statues. Using a Mallet removes it from Pit’s inventory, so collect as many as you can. |
Angel’s Feather
An Angel’s Feather is consumed when Pit falls off the screen. Instead of vanishing, Pit floats back up, which provides him with a short amount of time to reach a safe foothold. |
Water of Life (Chalice)
Chalices are consumed the moment they’re collected. Grab one of these items to instantly refill one bar of the Endurance meter. |
Water of Life (Bottle)
Bottles are consumed when Pit’s Endurance is completely drained. Consuming a Bottle refills one bar of Endurance, preventing Pit from succumbing to his injuries. By default, Pit can only carry one Bottle at a time. |
Water Barrel
The Water Barrel allows Pit to carry up to eight Bottles. This item can be purchased from Black Marketeers or found in Treasure Chambers. |
Fortress Items
These items can only be found in fortresses. They’re automatically removed from Pit’s inventory each time a fortress is conquered.
Check Sheet
Every fortress contains a Check Sheet for you to find. This item serves as a map of the fortress, but it requires a Pencil and/or Flaming Torch to be of use. |
Flaming Torch
This item is only found in fortress Stores. The Flaming Torch allows the Check Sheet to show Pit’s current location. Without a Check Sheet, a Flaming Torch serves no purpose. |
Pencil
This item is only found in fortress Stores. The Pencil allows the Check Sheet to mark rooms that have already been visited. Without a Check Sheet, a Pencil serves no purpose. |
