Nintendo Playing with Power eGuide Excitebike

How To

Just like actual motocross, Excitebike is complex. You must watch your engine’s temperature, learn to jump off ramps properly, and use your turbo boost effectively to become the motocross champ.

Accelerating and Braking

Press the A Button to control the bike’s speed and avoid obstacles or pass competitors. You can also press the B Button to engage turbo to get a speed boost.

Avoiding Engine Overheating

Pay attention to the engine’s temperature at the bottom of the screen. It’s fine as long as it stays in the green range, but your bike will overheat and stop if the gauge goes into the red zone.

Cool Down at Arrow Signs

During races you come across arrows on the ground. Guide your bike over these to reduce the engine’s temperature. Turn on the turbo while the engine is cooling off to improve your chances of winning!

Practice Mode

A target time is indicated in the practice mode. If you complete the course time, your time becomes the new target time for the course.

High Jumping

When you must jump over high obstacles or use the ramp, push left on the Directional Pad to raise up the front wheel and jump. Keep your front wheel up while you’re in the air to go even higher and make it easier to clear any obstacles ahead.

Long Jumping

This is the most effective jump during the race. When you come to a jump ramp or an obstacle, raise your front wheel up and go full speed ahead. Try to match the angle of the jumping bike to the angle of the landing spot to land without losing any speed.

Get Back Up

If you bump into a rival motocrosser or make a bad landing from a jump during the race, your bike will overturn. When this happens, get back up faster by hitting the A Button repeatedly. Use this technique to achieve your best time and win the prize!
