Offensive Scouting Report
- The Bills were a little quiet when it came to gathering free agents during the offseason, but they did spend time focusing on players that they wanted to keep around like Cordy Clenn and Richie Incognito. This will keep their O-Line strong while they train up their rookies that will be starting in key positions this year.
- Last season, the Bills’ running game was the best in the league and there’s no reason to expect much less this season. With a deep bench for HBs, the Bills should run the ball whenever possible. It’s important to note that they did some rebuilding of their WR depth, but that might just be a safety precaution for now.
- Picking up WR Leonard Hankerson should prove to be a somewhat successful move on the part of the Bills. Last season with the Atlanta Falcons was not his best effort, but his experience in the league matched with his speed may be exactly what Buffalo is looking for.
Defensive Scouting Report
- After the loss of CB Leodis McKelvin and CB Ron Brooks, the Bill needed to do something about their back field. Doing so, they picked up the veteran Sterling Moore and free agent Corey White, which severely upgraded their CB roster. The replacements should prove useful.
- FS Corey Graham has the speed and agility to hold the zone defense, but it’s not certain that he will be enough to keep the defense sufficiently strong to take the Bills all the way this year. Defense wins games and the Bills took quite a hit in the offseason.
- The offseason has shown great results for LB Preston Brown and he will be a threat to any offense once he hits his stride. He’s young and has plenty to learn, but there’s no doubt that he will be a star soon.
SCHEDULE
Key Players
- LeSean McCoy was the major element to the Bills’ running game success and will continue to improve this year. McCoy is in his prime and will be for at least another year or two.
- If the defense is not careful and doesn’t contain the edge, McCoy is great at taking advantage of this mistake.

- It’s extremely difficult to defend Dareus off the line simply due to his acceleration. He is powerful and quick, so as soon as the ball snaps there are very few linemen who can stop him for a full game.
- Dareus’s power will put pressure on any quarterback, Even if he gets zero sacks this season, the pressure should have a significant impact in every game.

- The Bills were looking for a player that could help their defense out in the draft and they got him. Lawson is fast and powerful, giving him the edge when going for the ball carrier.
- Putting more XP into his Speed and Acceleration will benefit you greatly because it will be nearly impossible to stop Lawson off of the line.

- It’s hard to expect a new team member to come in and be someone who excels in his position, especially after replacing two great CBs in the roster. However, it is extremely likely that Moore will use his experience to break out and dominate coverage.
- The combination of Moore’s Acceleration and Awareness ratings is powerful in even the newest players’ hands.
