Offense

The Packers’ offensive playbook favors the passing game, but the right power back can really find some nice holes from the shotgun sets. Don’t draft two big WRs unless an amazing opportunity appears; instead, look for one who can be elusive across the middle and run after the catch (RAC).

Gun Doubles Flex Wing is an excellent formation that provides not only a running threat, but also the ability to block for a deep attempt downfield.

The ability to control the pass type is huge in Madden NFL 17, and the Packers’ book will really benefit from an accurate QB.

Defense

The Packers run a 3-4 style playbook with strong defenders up front. These players generally come off the field on rushing downs, so don’t invest too much unless an elite DT who can be an every-down player is there. Selecting LBs doesn’t really hurt you: you can stack five on the field in most situations, as long as they are versatile.

Key Formation

The Big Dime 2-3-6 is an excellent formation for passing downs and will really punish an opponent who didn’t invest in an offensive line. Make sure to grab an extra CB or safety to maximize your effectiveness.

Finding an OLB who can rush the passer is great, but consider moving him to DE or MLB to keep your opponents guessing.
