Player 5
AARON RODGERS (QB), GREEN BAY PACKERS
Though wide receivers and running backs should be your first priority, when you are ready to pick up a quarterback, Aaron Rodgers is the man for you. Sure, Cam Newton had an amazing year last season, but the Packer is ready to return to form. With a healthy receiving corps and the addition of tight end Jared Cook, Aaron Rodgers should return to the top of the scoring charts. He definitely has the potential as he has finished first or second among quarterbacks in six out of the last eight seasons.
Player 4
TODD GURLEY (RB), LOS ANGELES RAMS
Coming off a stellar rookie season with over 1100 yards and 10 touchdowns, Todd Gurley has the potential to be the top Running Back in his second year. If the Rams fall behind, he will likely receive fewer touches, but the team should still use him a lot early in the game. With Le’Veon Bell sitting out the first four games due to suspension, choose Gurley as your first back.
Player 3
ODELL BECKHAM JR. (WR), NEW YORK GIANTS
Odell Beckham is another great choice as your first draft pick. His first two seasons saw stellar numbers in receptions, passing yards, and touchdowns, and there is no sign of him slowing down in 2016 with the Giants up-tempo offense. Sterling Shepard was added to the receiving corps in the off-season, which could possibly free up OBJ for more receptions.
Player 2
JULIO JONES (WR), ATLANTA FALCONS
Julio Jones is a great alternative if Antonio Brown is unavailable. He netted just as many receptions as the latter, while falling just short of Brown’s touchdown total. He should remain as Matt Ryan’s number one target while Devonta Freeman keeps the defense off balance with the run game. With Julio’s size, strength, and speed, he is a threat every week. Expect big numbers with Julio Jones on your team.
Player 1
ANTONIO BROWN (WR), PITTSBURGH STEELERS
Topping the scoring charts for wide receivers the last two seasons, there is no reason to think that Antonio Brown won’t improve on these stats this year. With Ben Roethlisberger at the helm and Le’Veon Bell moving the ball on the ground, points should come quick and often for Brown. If Roethlisberger remains healthy throughout the season, the receiver has a good chance to tally 150 receptions for the season. If at possible make him your first pick, but do not expect him to hang around too long.
