The Kansas City playbook has both good power running sets and a surprising number of four-plus WR sets. You can really pick the defense apart with short passes.
Key Formation
Gun Trips TE is the best formation in the KC playbook. Try saving it for the second half to give your opponent a completely different look. It can light up the scoreboard quickly if you can’t consistently pound the rock.

Defense
The KC defensive playbook is another 3-4 base, so having a solid corps of LBs can’t really hurt you. While picking strong defensive linemen isn’t the fanciest move, they will really help stop the run.

Nickel 2-4-5 Dbl A Gap puts tremendous pressure on your opponent’s offensive line. Send blitzes early and often!

If you get strong OLBs, the Nickel 2-4-5 can be an all-around zone defense that allows you to mix up coverage and then send solid blitzes.
