Defense
Washington has a 3-4 scheme that requires multiple LBs in most of their sets. No matter what, you can always find a spot for them: fast LBs in the middle, and stronger LBs on the outside to help set the edge in the run game.

The 3-4 Odd should be a great start against most challengers. Use the solid zone coverage to fan out and stop those TE routes.

If you don’t get the depth you need at LB, aim for big run-stopping DEs and use the Nickel 3-3-5 Wide formation.
