Offense
The Colts’ offensive playbook can be one of the most balanced in the entire game. Although they have newer formations like Pistol, don’t sleep on their power running sets. They have been around for some time, but they can still be tough to stop, depending on your team build.
Key Formation
The Colts are the only team in the game with Gun Bunch TE, which you should use heavily. The formation should easily beat zone coverage, and it contains nearly every concept without needing to adjust.

OFFENSIVE Draft Targets
- QB (DAC, SPD, THP)
- WR (SPD, RTE, CTH)
- TE (CIT, RBK, SPD)
Defense
The Colts’ defensive book is set up for quick finesse rushers to attack off the edge. This can leave them vulnerable to the run on early downs, but it really makes a lead valuable.
Key Formation
The Nickel 2-4-5 is your most balanced formation, and it can be crucial if an opponent is looking to scramble or run off the edge. Bring a safety down by calling “show blitz” if an opponent starts to run at your weakest OLB.
Key Player
MLB with 85+ Zone Coverage
Formations
- 3-4: Odd, Predator, Over, Even, Bear
- NICKEL: 2-4-5, 2-4-5 Dbl A Gap, 3-3-5 Wide

The Colts’ playbook will really shine if you can secure an early lead, so this is one of the few situations where it makes sense to receive the kickoff.
