Top 5 Game Prep Tips

The game preparation this season is even more important than it was last year. Not only is it crucial to improve your players before every game, but it’s also important to make sure they are happy and their contract negotiations are going smoothly. One of the biggest features this season is the installation of a game plan before each week. Involving the realism that a franchise goes through makes training your players for each week more important than ever.

Tip 5

Earn Player XP

Choose the players you want upgrade each week. They need to be focused.

Players earn their own XP and when you focus them during game preparation they gain even more XP than normal. There are a few different ways to earn XP each week; one of those ways is to focus them before the week starts, of course, but another is to achieve player goals during games. This season features more dynamic goals for more positions and players. Achieving them goes quite a long way when it comes to earning XP for the players, as well as the coach.

Tip 4

Earn Player Confidence

Drive goals go far when attempting to earn player confidence.

Just like earning player XP, there are features that help you earn a higher player confidence. During gameplay, complete these features to raise the confidence of your players and make them overall better assets to your team. Drive goals often appear during critical drives, but they are always important for raising player confidence, regardless of when they pop up. Of course, winning games also significantly raises player confidence levels. Winning results in better player performances, and the longer a player has a high confidence level, the better he will perform and the more he advances as a player.

Tip 3

Complete Weekly Training

You can sim your team’s training each week if you so choose. It might save you some time, but you won’t get the practice in the game plan.

Working on both your offensive and defensive gameplan is key for everyone on the team, including you. Using something that will attack the opposing team’s weakness is obviously a good idea, but if you are not confident in running those plays, you won’t perform them in the best way possible. One of the most important reasons for completing your team’s training each week is to earn boosts that give you that edge like any team that put in the work to prepare for the upcoming week. When you start each week’s game, you can choose the specific boost you’d like to use.

Tip 2

Know Your Players

It’s important to have the right make up of players on a single team rather than just superstars.

Players are only as good as the collection of teammates who they work with. That means more than just a collection of good players wins games. Teams must have a theme to excel in any area of expertise. Find out where you need players and keep an eye out for the ones who might fit those positions. As you learn more about your players and how long they have been in the league, you will know more about how to shape and pair them with other players.

Tip 1

Progress Your Players

Spending your XP in uniform fashion is a great way to create role players on your roster.

After your players have gained some XP, it’s time to upgrade them. There are several ways to do this for each position. You can obviously upgrade them in any fashion that you want, but it’s important to know who they are and what they are already good at, then either continue on that path or upgrade their weaknesses. Another way is to focus on your younger players who still have plenty of room to be shaped, then mold them in a fashion that you need desperately on your roster. Younger players can be built up to be unstoppable in a specific trait if you choose to focus on them, sometimes developing them into superstars.
