Revenant

Revenants feature high mobility, moderate health, and moderate resistance. They cannot be hit by any form of attack from Kratos until the billowy shroud surrounding them is removed. Enter Atreus! This enemy can’t be defeated without the boy’s help. Landing a few arrows removes the Revenant’s shroud, allowing Kratos to attack the shrew. The shroud reactivates after a short time, so take full advantage of this vulnerable state by stunning the enemy with a barehanded combo.

Revenant (Poison)

This Revenant type leaves small pools on the ground that are poisonous if touched. She also attacks with a ground-rake ability that can track Kratos, making it difficult to dodge. Both attacks can be blocked, so keeping defense up is vital while Atreus focuses on lowering the shroud.

In-Game Tips: “Her pestilence powder leaves poison hazards in the environment. If Father steps in them, he’ll be damaged and poisoned.”

“Her fissure attack can move around obstacles to hit us. Father has a better chance of dodging if he waits until it’s close.”

Revenant (Summoner)

These Revenants summon a variety of flying Nightmares to help in combat, and also spew clouds that can Blind. Up to four fliers can be active at a time and can easily overwhelm Kratos if you’re not focused. After summoning the first four Nightmares, however, the Revenant doesn’t conjure more until all four are killed; this can be used to Kratos’ advantage. Keeping one flier alive while focusing on the Revenant Summoner makes these encounters much easier to manage.

In-Game Tips: “She tries to summon Nightmares often, so we need to make sure we interrupt her to avoid being overrun by them.”

“Her powder smokescreen clouds can blind us, and they provide cover for her follow-up attacks. We should avoid them as much as we possibly can.”
