Brood are extremely weak bipeds, although they make up for it by always hanging out in large packs. Avoid running into the group; instead, lure them out or use ranged attacks when possible. They’re small, fast, and grow their arms into sharp points. Don’t underestimate them.

Their primary move is a forward-jump attack that can be evaded by stepping to the side. Rapidly tap the Circle button if a Brood manages to latch on to Kratos’ back.

The jump attack can also be countered with perfect timing. Just after the Brood’s forward summersault, tap the Block button to knock it back. If that finishes it off, it detonates when contact is made with the ground or another foe. Dodge away from a dying Brood to avoid the Poison cloud. Brood are also capable of inflicting Poison with their attacks.

Though not as effective against the Seiðr Brood as the Hel-Brood, the Blades of Chaos’s wide radius helps manage the pack better. Area-of-effect abilities are also useful in this situation.

In-Game Tips: “They can poison us, and we need to be extra careful of their leaping attack.”

“The Brood explode when they die. We can use this to damage and knock away any nearby enemies.”
