The Third Day of December, 1886
The good news: Galahad reaches Tesla’s lab before Lucan can seriously harm Nikola. The bad news: Lucan is still somewhere in the vicinity. And he’s very angry. And oh yeah, he’s sometimes a seven-foot tall wolfman.
Galahad helps Nikola to a safer position outside the lab. Then he proceeds into the darkened lab to meet his “brother.” Get ready for the final boss battle.
The confrontation begins with a quick five-button prompt sequence as the two Knights meet, man to man.
- First, press
to block Lucan’s blade thrust.
- Next, after two blade to blade strikes, press
to block another strike.
- Third, quickly use the right stick to move your targeting reticle over the action icon on Lucan’s sword hand and press
when the prompt appears. Another block.
- Now use the right stick again to target one of two icons on Lucan’s back and press .
- Finally, press when the prompt appears.
If successful, you’ve blocked Lucan five times. Galahad decides to tap Lucan’s inner Lycan to make it all official. As the men lock blade to blade, he says: “Show your true self.” And so Lucan does.
This Lycan Elder boss fight proceeds in the same manner as the previous one in Chapter 4, so refer to that section for a general review of the mechanics. This fight is longer and more intense, of course, but it still follows the same basic rules. Use Strong and Quick Attacks; dodge Lucan’s lunges by pushing the right stick in the directions prompted onscreen; activate Blacksight when you can; and hit the prompted controls precisely during the special action sequences.
If you survive the first-phase exchange of blows, Lucan slams Galahad facedown onto the floor. Use the right stick to target Lucan’s chest and hit to slash your blade across his face. Lucan flings Galahad across a workbench, shattering test tubes, beakers, and other equipment.
The next phase begins. By now you should be pretty good at punching that right stick in the direction shown onscreen to dodge Lucan’s savage attacks. When you survive this round of combat, Lucan clamps his jaws down on Galahad’s armplate. Use the right stick to target Lucan’s head or midsection and press to stab him. Lucan goes into a frenzy and starts slashing wildly, knocking Galahad into a support structure. Here you get another right stick directional prompt. If you time it correctly, Galahad ducks under Lucan’s blow, which smashes the structure behind him.
Now you get one more round of basic combat. If you’re dodging Lucan’s blows successfully and parrying with your own thrusts, your foe is losing strength. Look for an action icon on the floor, marking a wood plank from the smashed structure. When it changes to a button prompt, push the button indicated to grab the plank and hammer Lucan with it. After you land just a few more strikes, Lucan tackles Galahad and drives him backward, shattering scaffolding and pinning him against a pillar. During this time a flashing 
prompt is calling you to tap that button rapidly. When you do, Galahad stabs wildly at the beast, driving him back.
Lucan finally falls, but recovers enough for one more lunge, knocking Galahad’s blade to the floor. Tap rapidly again to reach for the blade. When Galahad finally grabs it, he rams home the final attack.
