Galahad and Lafayette enter what turns out to be a Whitechapel brothel called Aux Belles Muses. Approach the table (16) where a customer slumps in his chair. Inspect the photograph on the table. Turn it over to see it’s from “Zelda.”
Then head down the nearby staircase to the roulette table and inspect the cloth (17)with a raven insignia superimposed over a white castle. Galahad says, “The Ravens of London are getting organized.” This insignia is the mark of the rebellion, named after the famous ravens that live in the Tower of London, also known as the White Tower.
There’s one more inspectable item in the room. Walk past the bar (where a wench tries to proposition Galahad) and find the handwritten “Hypothesis of Pangenesis” by Charles Darwin sitting on the small barrel table (18). It’s an interesting read, making reference to lycanthropy and the Half-breed species. Be sure to read both sides for background info. Darwin speculated that tiny heredity particles that he called “gemmules” could be transmitted from parent to offspring.
Now approach Lafayette (19), who chats with two working women at the stairs leading up to the second floor. Press
to trigger a cutscene: the rebels have tracked the Knights to the brothel, so Lafayette arranges a transaction with the fine ladies. Follow them upstairs and watch as Lafayette’s plan unfolds.
