The Eighteenth Day of October, 1886

It seems appropriate that this covert excursion to Blackwall Yard begins underground. The alliance may be uneasy, but the partnership needs to be strong. Up ahead, the shipyards promise to be crawling with Company mercenaries, ill-tempered and heavily armed.

Follow Lakshmi

From the start (1), follow Lakshmi and listen to the conversation about “pure bloods.” These Half-breeds’ ancestors were born into their unnatural state, not turned like others who came later. They are supposedly an ancient, extinct race, but Lakshmi claims: “They walk among us.” Soon you reach a fallen support beam (2). Approach it and press to get through.

Go to the nearby worktable and inspect the flyer for the new Blackfriars Tunnel. Galahad comments that “the underground system is expanding.” Continue down the tunnel.

When you reach the rail cart (4) blocking the way, help Lakshmi push it down the tracks. Keep pushing (using the left stick) until the cart reaches the end and won’t move anymore.

Before you follow Lakshmi to the right, head up the tunnel to the left to find a chest (5) that Galahad can pry open with his blade. Inside, he finds “The Anarchists 16.10.86,” another phonograph cylinder. (These Anarchists sure put their audio communications in odd places…but they’re awfully up to date, aren’t they?) Follow Lakshmi down the tunnel as she spots someone up ahead.

Deal with the guard

Creep up to join Lakshmi at the barrier (6) then crawl over to trigger a quick, somewhat amusing exchange with a Company guard. After he takes his rest, move on behind Lakshmi again. Continue out of the tunnel to the embankment construction site.

Find a way to the street

To reach the street level you need to climb the construction platforms, as Lakshmi suggests. To reach those, you must move a railcar. Here’s how: first, pull the track switch (7) (or, as Galahad calls it, an “interchange lever”) to switch the rails.

Then get behind the nearby railcar (8) loaded with wood beams and push it as far as it will go (9). From here you can climb up the platforms, but first, find another inspectable item.

Walk around the platform where you pushed the railcar to find some tools on a table underneath it, including a mallet (10). Inspect the mallet to see it belongs to one “S. Lawton.”

Climb onto the lumber-laden railcar then up onto the platform. Turn left and use to jump across to the next two platforms. The second one (11) is narrow, only a few beams wide. Turn right on it and jump across to the platform next to the open pipe. Then climb up to the street (12). You’ve reached the United India Docks, Blackwall. Follow Lakshmi to the locked gate (13) leading into the yard. Then use the button prompt to trigger the next scene.
