STAR WARS™ Battlefront™ eGuide Vehicles and Turrets

Turrets

Various turrets have been set up around the environment. Either faction can employ the E-Web blaster (widely used throughout the maps), along with the ATGAR-14, DF-9, and turbolaser, which are limited to specific locations. Also, keep in mind that the turrets are destructible. Ion weapons, such as an Ion Grenade, are extremely effective against them. Watch your flank when operating one of the open turrets, as you are vulnerable to attack.

E-Web

Available game modes: Any mode with infantry

Type: Stationary blaster

E-Web turrets are located all throughout the four planets, offering decent firepower against groups of soldiers. Available to either faction, using the stationary blaster opens you up to rear and side attacks. Unless you are confident that your flanks are protected, do not spend too much time on the gun.

ATGAR-14

Available game modes: Supremacy, Walker Assault

Type: Light anti-vehicle turret

This light anti-vehicle turret is effective against other turrets, while also capable of damaging vehicles. It is not enclosed, so you are vulnerable to attacks during operation. The fixed emplacement rotates 360 degrees with very limited up and down movement, though it can hit a low-flying aircraft. It is slow to shoot its powerful bolts, so aim ahead of any moving target (it is best used against stationary targets). A slow rate of fire means that you must make every shot count.

DF-9 Turret

Available game modes: Supremacy, Walker Assault

Type: Anti-infantry turret

Found exclusively on Hoth, this fully enclosed, anti-infantry turret is great for defending objectives. Be careful in Walker Assault, as these gun emplacements are weak against their mighty firepower. The gun rotates a full 360 degrees, with limited up and down movement. It overheats after several shots, allowing you to take out a group of infantry if necessary. While it is unable to hurt other turrets and vehicles, it deals a little damage to the weakened underbelly of an AT-AT.

Turbolaser

Available game modes: Survival on Sullust

Type: Heavy anti-vehicle turret

Found exclusively at the Imperial base on Sullust, this anti-vehicle turret is extremely deadly against the AT-STs and TIE fighters that attack in Survival mode. Step inside the big cannon, and use its powerful laser to knock the fighters out of the sky. Fire ahead of the flying vehicles to take them down. Waiting until they fly straight out or toward your locations makes shooting them down much easier.

The high-powered laser cannon does overheat, so watch the meter just below the reticle. While it can take quite a bit of abuse, it can also be destroyed. Take control of one, and its health bar displays in place of your own.
