Overview

Hero Hunt is one of the most unique modes in Star Wars Battlefront because it pits a team of hunters (whether they be stormtroopers or Rebel troopers) against a single hero character that includes both heroes and villains, depending on the planet. The hero character will play Luke Skywalker, Han Solo, or Leia Organa when playing on Tatooine and Hoth, or Darth Vader, Emperor Palpatine, or Boba Fett on Endor and Sullust. Each player can play a hero character while the troopers attempt to hunt them down. Hero Hunt becomes a test to see how vulnerable the heroes and villains of the Star Wars universe actually are.

Hero Hunt Tactics

Playing as the hero means playing to that character’s strengths. You don’t know which hero you will be controlling when you become the hero character, but once you find out, it becomes your job to adjust. Melee characters should stick to close-quarters situations, while blaster-type characters might play the outdoors a little more.

Troopers are the hunters, and even though you want to get the kill so you can become the hero, you still must work with your team. Most hero characters need to be ambushed either from a distance or right around the corner and played to their weakness. Generally, explosives are most likely to damage hero characters. Most can either escape blaster fire or deflect it right back at you, which could mean your death.

Use items like Seeker Shot to take the hero character on from a distance, while keeping you as safe as possible. If you want to survive the battle, fire and expend with Seeker Shot and all weapons in general. Without a doubt, you are at a disadvantage, even when outnumbering the hero character. Staying on the move helps keep your survival rate up, giving you more chances to down the hero character.

As the hero character, a good team of hunters will attempt to ambush you. Luckily, almost every hero character has an ability that can be used to escape dire situations. Don’t be afraid to attack head-on, but read the situation and escape if necessary.
