STAR WARS™ Battlefront™ Guide › Vehicles and Turrets

Hero Ships

Controlled in the same manner as the normal starfighters, hero ships are only available in Fighter Squadron mode by collecting a special hero vehicle pick-up. They are both very well-armored and are equipped with a third ability. Just like the starfighters, these powerful aircraft also possess an energy distribution system.

Be aware that once you collect the pick-up, you become the primary target for most players on the opposing faction. Make them pay with your superior firepower and defense.

Millennium Falcon

Available game modes: Fighter Squadron

Type: Hero ship

Faction: Rebel Alliance

Millennium Falcon Controls

AbilityCool Down (Seconds)ButtonDescription
Shield 15 Left Ability A temporary shield gives you a little time to escape a hairy situation.
Concussion Missiles 5 Right Ability This is a powerful rocket. Lock on to a target, and deploy the explosive.
Speed Boost 15 Top Ability This maxes out speed for a short period, which is great for closing in on a target or getting away.

The heavily modified YT-1300 freighter is only available in Fighter Squadron by flying an X-wing or A-wing through a hero vehicle pick-up. This instantly switches you to the Falcon. This well-armored vessel has three abilities: a shield, missiles, and a speed boost.

The hero ship already has higher armor than the normal fighters. Activate the shield ability to boost your defense for a short period, allowing you to escape trouble. The concussion missiles are high-powered rockets. Lock on to your target for an easier shot. The modified sublight engines allow the aircraft to get a significant speed boost, though it does take a little longer to get this hunk of junk going.

When you’re being targeted, try to lose your pursuer with the same evasive maneuvers as the regular Rebel starfighters. Pressing left or right performs a barrel roll, while pressing up causes a 180-degree turn.

Slave I

Available game modes: Fighter Squadron

Type: Hero ship

Faction: Galactic Empire

Slave 1 Controls

AbilityCool Down (Seconds)ButtonDescription
Proton Torpedoes 5 Left Ability This is a powerful projectile. Lock on to your target before firing.
Ion Cannon 20 Right Ability This powerful ion weapon is very effective against vehicles.
Sensor Jammer(10 Seconds) 15 Top Ability This jams nearby scanners for 10 seconds, making you invisible on their radar.

Slave 1 is Galactic Empire’s hero ship, piloted by the bounty hunter Boba Fett. Exclusive to Fighter Squadron mode, you must collect a hero vehicle pick-up to take control of this spacecraft. This oddly shaped spacecraft is extremely agile and carries a powerful arsenal. Take yourself off the radar with sensor jammer, move in on your target, and light it up with your array of weapons.

With its Proton Torpedoes and ion cannon, Slave 1 has the unique ability to lock on to successive fighters, taking down multiple targets in a small timespan. Its firepower also allows it to directly battle the Rebel’s hero ship, the Millennium Falcon, though Han Solo’s freighter isn’t going down too easily.

The usual evasive maneuvers are available for Slave 1. Combine that with its tight turns, and it can be difficult to target.
