Chapter 26: Behind Enemy Lines


Surviving an epic train wreck is just another day at the office for Alpha and Bravo, but they can’t relax just yet. La Guadaña’s army of mercenaries has managed to take Mayor Cordova to the town of Ladera, staying one step ahead of T.W.O. Meanwhile, Alpha and Bravo’s crash site is surrounded my a large contingent of mercenaries. They will need to fight their way out of this death trap with Fiona, and then resume the chase for the mayor.

Chapter 26: Behind Enemy Lines

Things are looking pretty bad when you start the chapter. The trainwreck has made a barrier that surrounds you almost entirely. Cartel thugs and mercenaries are climbing over the twisted wrecks of train cars , and you’ve got limited cover near the wrecked truck. Fiona is pinned down under the truck, but you can’t help her until you take down the first wave of hostiles. After the first set of attackers goes down, Alpha and Bravo must fall back to the truck and help lift it off of Fiona. Another wave of cartel members climb over the train cars as soon as Fiona is free.

Eventually, RPG-wielding mercs take up positions on top of the train cars while more hostiles continue to converge on the area. As soon as they are called out, find them and kill them, and then continue taking out the other mercs until the area is secured. Alpha tries to call for assistance from any surviving T.W.O. operatives in the city and learns from Rios that Pike and Bradley are still in the area, but that they are under heavy fire. Head toward the gate indicated on the HUD to escape the rail yard .

Initially, there are no hostiles as you push through the slums, but you eventually encounter a pair of mercs protecting an alleyway . They start off unaware of your presence, making for easy takedowns. As you walk past their corpses, Fiona splits off from Alpha and Bravo in search of a new truck and some painkillers for her injuries. Alpha and Bravo must boost each other up over a wall to proceed . Pike and Bradley radio in that they have confirmed Cordova’s location and are ready to rescue him from the cartel. Alpha and Bravo must now get to the rooftops to take out a sniper nest.

A small squad of mercenaries block your climb to the rooftops, but considering what you started fighting against, this is almost pedestrian in nature. Eliminate them and climb up the indicated stairwell . You will eventually locate an entrance to a small room where you hear the attempt to rescue Cordova go down over the radio. Pike is KIA, but Bradley has secured the mayor and needs you to provide sniper cover.

Two snipers man the rooftop nest just outside of the small room. Kill them to end the chapter.
