Army of Two: The Devil's Cartel Guide Essentials Welcome Back to Tactical Worldwide Operations

Welcome Back to Tactical Worldwide Operations

Army of Two: The Devil’s Cartel marks the return of the tactical co-op shooter franchise. Placing the maximum amount of emphasis on “co-op,” players are highly encouraged to fight their way through the city of La Puerta with a friend at their side, either through split screen mode, or through the internet on XBox Live or the Playstation Network. There’s a reason why these games are called Army of TWO. You are up against incredibly tough odds. The cartel will always outnumber you, and technically they will also always outgun you. Fortunately, whether you have a human partner to play with or you rely on the backup of your AI-controlled assistant, you have a distinct advantage over anything they can send your way: there are TWO of you. What chance have they really got?

This guide will teach you the basic gameplay fundamentals of Army of Two: The Devil’s Cartel, and how to take advantage of those basic skills to transform the duo of Alpha and Bravo into the most destructive force to ever walk down a single city block. You’ll learn how and when to deploy the highly destructive Overkill ability to lay waste to a ridiculous number of gangsters (and pretty much any piece of scenery unfortunate enough to be within fifty feet of them). Everything there is to know about La Guadaña and the weapons you will use to kill them are in this book. Most importantly, this guide will walk you through every chapter of every mission on the Hard difficulty, calling out tough enemy encounters, flanking routes, and any alternate strategies you can use to cut down cartel scum like it’s going out of style.

Get your ballistic mask, get your gun, and get ready to earn that payday.

We were committed to replicating the vibe of our favourite action movies.

La Puerta is On Fire

Drug cartels have a lengthy and colorful history in Mexico. They are pervasive and present throughout society like a cancerous growth. Attempts to shut them down from the outside have met with mixed results. The legal system faces corruption on an unprecedented scale as the cartels attempt to bribe any government official, lawyer, or officer of the law that they can get their hands on. Those who cannot be bribed are intimidated into silence. If they refuse to be intimidated, they are killed. Thousands of lives join the increasing body count attributed to cartel-related violence every year.

For the people of La Puerta, the situation is almost completely beyond the control of the police and the government. The brutal La Guadaña cartel rules the city through violence and fear. Their ambitious leader seeks to take the cartel worldwide, amassing an army of followers and an arsenal of firepower fit for a third world nation’s military.

Hope has not died out entirely, however. There are still people who are willing to resist the cartel, and some who are willing to take up arms against it. The mayor of La Puerta has managed to galvanize the people into action. The battle for the city is being fought with words and bullets, and there are fighters on all sides of this war.

La Guadaña refuses to tolerate a lone politician standing in their way, and the mayor knows that he cannot rely on the police for protection. He has turned to a special contractor: a private military corporation (PMC). Tactical Worldwide Operations (T.W.O.) provides bodyguards to protect him on the eve of his re-election efforts. He sees this as a show of strength, a show that says he still stands outside of La Guadaña’s reach.

La Guadaña sees it as a declaration of war. To them, war is a means to ensure that their “business” goes unhindered, and they are unafraid to exercise this option.

For T.W.O., war is business—one that its operators have become exceedingly proficient at. This is where you come in.
