Most of this level is pretty Bow heavy, so wearing the Kokiri Clothes will provide excellent assistance in taking out enemies and solving puzzles.
Room 1
Each Link starts the room in a different location at the start of this level. Make sure that each Link grabs a Bow from the pedestal directly ahead of him. This will reveal the Triforce gateway, but you still have more to do to be able to reach it.
Once each Link is in the center of the room, clear out the Blobs, make a three-Link Totem, and head to the northeast corner of the room near the gate. Have the bottom Link throw the middle and top Links onto the lower ledge to the right of the gate, then have the bottom Link of that Totem throw the top Link on top of the ledge immediately north of the ledge you are currently on.
The Link that is on the highest ledge needs to shoot his Bow at the balloon with the key icon on it, positioned directly in front of the gate.
What a surprise! The key balloon had (you guessed it) a key in it! Grab the key and walk into the lock on the gate to unlock it, then head through to the Triforce gateway.
Room 2
Head northwest along the path and drop down with all three Links to the lower level of this room. In the room’s center is a three-man switch. You’ll need all three Links standing on it to activate it. You can trigger it with all three Links standing on it or while in a Totem.
Once the switch is pressed, seven Blobs and a Buzz Blob will appear. The Blobs can be knocked out with your sword, but the Buzz Blob must be defeated at a distance. If you touch the jolting Buzz Blob with your sword you’ll be electrocuted and lose a Heart.
After finishing off the Buzz Blob ring, another wave of gelatinous attackers will appear in front of the gate. This time you’ll have to contend with five Blobs and two Buzz Blobs. Use the same tactics as you did a moment ago to dispatch these wobbly foes and the gate will open to you.
Head through the gate on the north side of the room. You can nab a treasure chest by taking the first left onto an even narrower path. After you grab the treasure, head to the north end of the room to find the Triforce gateway.
Room 3
In the center of this room is a set of moving platforms that circle a plateau. You’ll find two Totem Dekus and a rather shy switch on the center plateau. You’ll need to make Totem tall enough to reach the Totem Dekus, then stand back and shoot them in order to defeat them. In order to hit the shy switch, you’ll need to use the same strategy: Step back, aim at the switch and, when you’re far enough away from it to get it to open, fire!
You’ll need to hit two more switches on the east and north sides of the room to open the gate. Both switches require you to make a three-Link Totem in order to reach them, and the east switch is guarded by a Buzz Blob.
Once you hit all three switches, the gate will open and you’ll be able to reach the Triforce gateway and another Squiddy.
Room 4
Boss Fight: Electric Blob King
This is your first boss fight in the game, though it’s more of a mini-boss than a true boss. Since it’s a mini-boss it’s a pretty simple fight that will give you some quality practice making Totems under pressure.
You’ll need to watch out for when Electric Blob King starts making a charging sound. This means it’s going to fire electricity in straight lines out of its squishy little nubs and begin to move either clockwise or counterclockwise. Just follow the electric blasts in the direction they’re heading until they disappear to avoid damage.
Your goal is to hit the red ball inside Electric Blob King with your Bow. This starts out pretty simply: Aim your Bow at the red ball and fire. After three hits, Electric Blob King will stand a bit taller, forcing the red ball out of your range. Make a two-Link Totem, aim at the red ball, and fire. After three hits Electric Blob King will stand even taller, meaning you need to meet its tall-man challenge and stack ‘em high! Make a three-Link Totem, aim for the red ball once again, and turn this royal Blob into paste! Four more hits and Electric Blob King will be nothing more than a puddle after it explodes into a delicious pile of Rupees. Grab the Rupees quick, as they don’t stick around for more than a few seconds.
