Circle Pad: Used to move Link around the game.
A Button: Pressing the A Button will pick up any objects that are able to be picked up, as well as your Doppels and your teammates. Press the A Button again to throw whatever you picked up. While in water, pressing the A Button will cause Link to shoot forward. This makes swimming a much faster experience, but you’ll also burn through your energy gauge by using this ability.
B Button: Press the B Button to slash your sword. Hold the B Button to perform Link’s signature spin attack.
X Button: Once you’ve spoken to the Photo Bro, you can press the X Button to take a picture while you’re in a level. You can then upload that picture to the Miiverse to share with Tri Force Heroes players around the world.
Y Button: Pressing the Y Button will use whatever Sub-Weapon you have equipped. Holding the button will often allow you to hold your Sub-Weapon before firing it/unleashing it. This has a number of uses that completely depend on what Sub-Weapon you’re using.
R Button and L Button: Pressing either the R Button or the L Button will make Link run in a straight line until you release the button, slash your sword, or hit a wall or enemy.
START & SELECT Buttons: Press the Start Button or Select Button to pause the game in both multiplayer and single-player.
Touchscreen: In single-player, tap a Doppel on the bottom screen to have Link take control of him. In multiplayer, clicking and holding your stylus on another player will move the camera over them, so you can get a good look at what they’re up to and where they’re at. This is perfect for strategizing during particularly tough puzzles.
