Dogeyes’ hangout is a short drive from the Golden Koi, a long disused dock just beyond a roadside rest area. When you arrive, you’ll need to climb up a hill to see the dock. No guards are present to stop you. As soon as he sees you, Dogeyes bolts for a nearby speedboat and tries to escape. Wei climbs into another boat to give chase.
Boats decelerate much slower than any car you’ve driven, and their steering isn’t as sharp. Your only goal during this chase is simply to follow Dogeyes, and the safest way to ensure that is to follow his route as closely as possible. Steering will require some finesse on your part. It’s quite easy to over steer and ram into obstacles that slow you down enough for Dogeyes to get away.
During this chase, Wei calls up Duke on his smartphone, telling him to get to the docks as soon as possible. He’s going to have to make a pick up very shortly.
Eventually, Dogeyes leaps his boat onto another dock, and you need to pursue him. During a short scene, Wei dismounts from the boat and begins to pursue Dogeyes on foot. It’s a short chase, and Dogeyes leads Wei to an ambush inside the fish processing plant.
Five thugs make up the first ambush, one of whom is a Grappler. Focus on bringing down the regular thugs first to help better the odds, then go to work on the big guy.
Note
If you are still of the opinion that Raymond’s concerns regarding Wei Shen’s violent tendencies are all unfounded, this processing center is the place to show just how wrong you are. Meat hooks, fish tanks, pools filled with electric eels, and heads of swordfish mounted on racks—all of these are available during every ambush that ensues here. Combining all of this with Wei’s growing martial arts talent, and you’ve got a kid in a gruesome candy store.
After the first ambush, pull open the gate that Dogeyes had shut behind him to encounter two more of his men. One is armed with a knife, so focus on him first. When these two are downed, pull open the next gate. Take the knife with you for the next fight.
Six men make up the third ambush, including a pair of Brawlers. There are many environmental hazards to use to help speed through this fight. Try to get rid of the Brawlers first, since they tend to be rather annoying with their unstoppable punches and kicks. Once these guys are finished, pursue Dogeyes into the processing area.
Dogeyes pretends to plead for his life as he creeps up behind Wei, saying that it had been nothing personal to kill Winston, it was merely business. His pleading becomes very real when Wei surprises Dogeyes and slams him against a table. He tries to bribe Wei with business connections to Big Smile Lee. As Wei drags him away, another thug ambushes Wei, and Dogeyes breaks free. Instead of running, he joins his remaining men in another ambush.
The Grappler who ambushed Wei has him in a hold, while other thugs close in to use him as a punching bag. Make sure you kick any nearby enemies first to stun them before trying to escape the hold. Dogeyes can’t be dealt with until you destroy his small army of backup.
Once you’ve isolated Dogeyes, he comes at you with a meat cleaver. Concentrate on Countering his attacks to open him up to longer combos.
With Dogeyes beaten into relative submission, drag him to the exit, where Duke is waiting with his car. Stuff Dogeyes into the trunk of the car, and then climb into the passenger seat. Duke is nervous about the plan and wants to finish off Dogeyes now, but Wei insists that they must bring him to Mrs. Chu.
Cue the pursuing brigade of Triad members. You have to be spot on with your shooting. There’s a lot of gunmen, and Duke’s car can only take so much abuse. Aim for those tires! The chase eventually winds down as Duke enters North Point and gets into the Water Street Gang’s territory. Once he pulls up to the Golden Koi, yank Dogeyes out of the trunk to go see Mrs. Chu.
She is quite happy to see “Sammy” once again. She’s even prepared a meal for him, which he refuses for understandable reasons...
Dogeyes pleads once last time for mercy, but Wei genially reminds him that it’s nothing personal. It’s just business.
Business he will be losing sleep over for a very long time. In the morning, Wei gets a message that Uncle Po wants to see him at the hospital.
