After a rough night’s sleep, Wei awakens in his new apartment. It’s not much to look at, but it does have some nice perks. The bed, for instance, allows Wei to rest, recovering his health and advancing the time. If you don’t want to be racing during the day, take a nap and go to town in the evening.
The flat screen TV that looks incredibly out of place among the peeling paint on the walls and the awful carpeting is able to access any Spy Cameras you hack. For the upcoming Drug Bust side missions, you’ll need to use this TV to close down those operations.
The wardrobe allows you to switch between sets of clothes. Now that you have access to the entire city, check out the different clothing stores to snag better bonuses for Wei.
The bathroom lets you wash off any blood that has splashed on Wei during fights, and doubles as a full health restoration. It’s also there for when you’ve really got to go.
The roach-infested kitchen does have a function outside of being completely disgusting: the fridge is regularly stocked with energy drinks. There’s no reason not to slam one down before heading out to work.
Just outside of the apartment is a parking garage, where any vehicles you’ve acquired can be picked up by talking to the attendant. You were awarded a motorcycle for completing the Night Market Chase, and it will serve you quite well from here on out.
And now the world is yours to explore! This section of the guide will continue to focus on the main story missions, as well as the four cases that crop up throughout the story. All side missions will continue to be called out in the Mission Unlocks section, with page numbers indicating where information can be found regarding those missions within the Side Missions sections.
If you’re trying to do absolutely everything available, it’s best to do the side missions first, before taking on any of the main story missions. Story progress can make certain NPCs unavailable. You can check your in-game map to find out where different missions and people asking for favors are located. All missions outside of the main story missions and the cases are organized into their own separate sections in this guide.
There are two major missions available from this point forward: Stick Up and Deliver (a main story mission) and Popstar (the first case of the game).
