During the drive to Vivienne’s apartment, Sonny texts you. He wants you to bug the place and hack her computer in addition to installing the hidden cameras. Nice guy. Unfortunately, you can’t just waltz right in. After talking to the security guard, there’s no way to convince him to let you into the building, and you’re forced to take a detour.
Fortunately, there is a construction site right next to the target building, and Wei is more than capable of climbing a few ledges. Go to the new waypoint to find your access point into the site. Seek out the green tarps that act as a guide for how you can climb higher into the construction. You’ll find a drunkard taking shelter as you climb upwards, and he responds to your presence poorly. After knocking him out, proceed up the crates he was pissing on.
After jumping across a small gap and climbing up more ledges, you can pass through an unfinished window to cross over to Vivienne’s building.
Once you’re inside, your first objective is to hack Vivienne’s computer. Once you’ve beaten the security, Raymond texts you. Pendrew wants to meet in Central tonight.
Next, you need to bug the kitchen. As usual, first unscrew the vent cover, calibrate and place the bug, and then replace the vent cover. Halfway through the calibration, Vivienne and Ricky have arrived back home. You have less than a minute to finish planting the bug and then find a hiding place upstairs, close to her bed.
Vivienne and Ricky enter the apartment, and it quickly becomes obvious that Ricky isn’t merely growing attached to her, he’s completely in love, which will undoubtedly be cause for Sonny to send Vivienne away to the more unsavory side of his business. After Vivienne goes off to take a quick shower, you have to plant the camera on the indicated nightstand.
Now comes the tricky part. You need to get down to the first floor without Ricky or Vivienne noticing you and retrieve the memory stick you left behind on her computer. Wait until Ricky walks onto the balcony and is out of sight before getting back down to the first floor. Watch the windows and your mini-map to ensure he’s not looking through the windows, and make a dash for the PC. After picking up the memory stick, wait until Ricky walks back into the apartment to go check up on Vivienne, and then jump off the balcony to the street below. You’ve got your own date with Pendrew to attend to.
Wei is not in a good mood when he sees Pendrew, still angry about Jackie being taken in. Pendrew manages to smooth things over with him, saying that anything they can pin to Sonny Wo will hurt Big Smile Lee and the Sun On Yee. Wei reveals that he set up the hidden surveillance in Vivienne’s apartment on Sonny’s orders. This can be the break the HKPD need to take Sonny down, so Pendrew wants the data from those cameras and bugs. Wei agrees, on the condition that Jackie is set free. Go to your Central safehouse.
While using the PC at the safehouse to download the surveillance data, Wei has a surprise visitor: Vivienne. It comes out that Sonny sent her to Wei to “thank” him for the help recently. Wei turns down the sexual favors, shocking her. Apparently, he’s the first guy to turn her away, something she’s actually very grateful for. She wants out of Sonny’s schemes.
Meeting once more with Pendrew, Wei hands over the data, and Pendrew says that Jackie can walk. He also says that the mission is over, and that Wei needs to come in for debriefing. This only sets Wei off. Big Smile Lee will inevitably take over the Sun On Yee if he’s pulled in now, and things in Hong Kong will only get worse. He insists he will stay on task until the Sun On Yee are taken down. Pendrew ominously warns Wei that he’s making a mistake.
The next morning, Raymond calls up Wei to inform him that Jackie is being released from custody. Take care of any business you have left over, and go pick him up.
