Case Three: Serial Killer

Lead One: Survey the Crime Scene

The drive to the Aberdeen Bridge is fairly lengthy from the Undercover Police HQ, but nothing major happens during the trip. Once at the waypoint, climb into the back of the nearby police van to switch into a disguise, then head down towards the crime scene. An officer blocks the way, but you can Fast Talk your way past him. Make your way into the warehouse, and avoid causing an incident with the officers outside.

Your first order of business is to photograph the indicated body and then search it. You find a small incision on the corpse. Move on to the next victim and check him to find the same incision. It turns out that all three bodies have the same incision. Someone has been performing surgery on these victims, not the work of the average serial killer. Return the uniform to the police van to complete this lead in the case, then call Inspector Teng to update her on the situation.

All of the victims are Sun On Yee, and all appeared to have an organ harvested. Wei believes that if someone is harvesting organs, they must be using them for something. In order to dredge up more information, Wei intends to go to the hospital and check the records there.

Lead Two: Investigate the Records

At the hospital, you need to find a Doctor’s Coat in the back of an ambulance. Properly disguised, make your way in through the front entrance.

The hospital records can be accessed in the area just past the main reception room. A nurse challenges your presence, but she can be Fast Talked into buzzing off. You’ll need to hack the computer the nurse was protecting, but fortunately nobody notices this. From the records, it appears that Dr. Tsang is doing suspiciously large numbers of kidney transplants.

You need more evidence, and the best way to get that evidence is to bug Tsang’s office. You have three minutes to get into the office, plant the bug in an air vent, crack open his safe and, of course, escape before you’re caught.

The information you find is damning. Dr. Tsang is meeting with Four Finger Wu, an 18k Red Pole, somewhere in Kennedy Town. Leave the office, but if you’re fast enough, you can catch the tail end of a conversation Tsang is having over the phone regarding his business dealings. As you return to the reception area, Inspector Teng calls for an update. After this, return the clothes back to the ambulance to wrap up the second lead. You’ll have to wait until Teng gets actionable intel from your planted bug before you can proceed to close the case.

Lead Three: Prevent Murder, Close the Case

Call up Inspector Teng to inform her that she needs to stay on the wiretap. She responds by saying that Tsang already has a patient, and that he and the 18k have picked out a donor: Calvin, another member of the Water Street Gang. They already have a head start on Wei, saying that Calvin is located somewhere in Central. You’ve got eight minutes to find and save him. There is one catch: Wei can’t let Calvin see him. After all, the only way Wei could possibly know Calvin was in trouble would be because Wei’s a cop.

You arrive at Calvin’s location just in time to witness him being thrown into the trunk of a car. You have to Action Hijack the Triad car, and then drive fast enough so that Calvin doesn’t get it in his head that he can jump out by himself. Drive the car to the stash spot and leave it there. Afterwards, call Inspector Teng to update her on the situation. You get a reward for finishing up the lead. Afterwards, Teng calls Wei to let him know that Dr. Tsang confessed to his crimes. He’ll likely be sent to a maximum security prison, but his chances of surviving his sentence are very slim, due to his actions. You earn another small cash reward for your trouble. The case is closed!
