Climb into the delivery truck that has been provided, and wait for Popstar to show up. He’ll climb into a sports car and be driven to the deal. Tailing is about keeping the suspicion meter from filling up. You do this by not driving dangerously, avoiding accidents, staying on the right side of the road, and not getting too close to the target car. You have to keep Popstar’s car in sight though, otherwise you’ll fail the mission. A good distance is roughly thirty to fifty meters away from his car, so long as it’s in sight.
You have to be careful, but Popstar’s driver clearly employs offensive driving techniques. He will be driving fairly fast and recklessly, swerving between cars, and running red lights. You can get away with some stuff to keep them in view, but absolutely do NOT crash into their vehicle. They eventually arrive at the docks. Wei automatically parks the delivery truck out of view. From here on, your infiltration is on foot.
Climb on the roof near the truck and take cover as prompted. Another car will arrive, filled with bodyguards and the supplier. Your goal now is to take a photograph of the meeting with your smartphone. When aiming the camera at the meeting, you’ll know you’re in the right spot when the targeting reticle turns green.
With the photos taken, you need evidence of an actual exchange of money for goods. Once the group leaves the initial meeting point, you’re clear to drop off the roof and follow them down to the docks. Don’t get too hasty here or you’ll get spotted!
The major obstacle to accessing the dock is one of Popstar’s guards. Wei begins to stumble at this point, acting drunk to try and convince the guard to let him pass. You’re given a Fast Talk prompt to fool the guard, which involves relieving the contents of your stomach in front of the guy, hopefully on his shoes. Not wanting to deal with a scummy drunkard, the guard forgets about you and you’re able to slip past.
At the next waypoint, climb up to the roof of the indicated boat, and get your camera ready to take more pictures of the deal going down.
Item Acquistion
One of Sifu’s Jade Statues can be found on this boat, atop one of the crates you use to boost yourself to the roof of the ship.
As you might be able to tell from the heated exchange between Popstar and the supplier, things are about to get violent...and they do. Popstar double taps the dealer in the chest, while a scuffle breaks out between Popstar’s guards and those of the supplier.
Fortunately, you’ve just caught all of that on camera. Contact Inspector Teng when prompted to deliver the news. While she would have preferred to bring Popstar’s supplier alive, the evidence gathered already will be enough to get Popstar locked up for a very long time. The Sun On Yee’s drug distribution will be crippled in the wake of the arrests, but that means that Wei’s life just got more dangerous.
Your escape from the crime scene is complicated by the sudden arrival of HKPD units, and seeing your vehicle fleeing the area has made you into a target. Evade the cops, and then drive back to the Undercover Police HQ. Once there, park the truck in the opened storage garage. Teng will call you to say that the arrests have been made, and that Popstar is definitely getting life in prison for his actions. The case is officially closed!
