There are multiple collectible items that can be found throughout Hong Kong that contribute to Wei’s ability to complete his undercover assignment. Finding these items without help can be difficult, but that is where the maps in this section will come in handy.
Health Shrines
Wei begins the game with only half the total health he can eventually acquire. In order to max out this stat, you will need to locate the fifty Health Shrines hidden throughout Hong Kong. Every five shines found will add 10% more health to Wei’s starting health total. Finding every single shrine would effectively double his hit points. Certain shrines are well hidden, and will have special notes on how to reach them.
Lock Boxes
Much of your cash is earned by accomplishing various missions or side jobs given to you by other members of the Sun On Yee. You can further boost your cash reserves by locating the 100 Lock Boxes hidden throughout the city. The boxes themselves all carry different amounts of money, and a number of them also contain additional clothing items or sets for your wardrobe. Some require you to crack their locks, and others are guarded by groups of thugs. This will be indicated on the lists below. Many of the Lock Boxes are hidden more or less in plain sight, but there are some that require fancy footwork or more thorough investigation to reach. They will be given special notes.
Jade Statues
Master Sifu of the martial arts school in North Point had nearly all of his Jade Statue collection stolen by a former student, and does not expect to see the eleven missing statues in the set ever again. However, the statues can be recovered over the course of completing all of the missions in the game. Each statue that is returned allows Wei to learn a new combat technique.
Spy Cameras
The HKPD has set up twenty-six Spy Cameras around the city in hopes of catching Triad members involved in illicit dealings. These cameras can be hacked by Wei, allowing him to use them as his eyes around the city. Most of these cameras are found as part of the Drug Bust side missions, but a handful of them are scattered in other areas.
Safehouse Upgrades
As you travel through the city, you may stumble across vendors selling goods of questionable origin. These sales provide a little something extra to the safehouses Wei earns throughout the story. All of the vendors appear as you unlock new safehouses, but do not show up on your world map or mini-map.
