Far Cry 4 eGuide ULC/DLC Missions Hurks Redemption

Speak No Evil

The first of Hurk’s missions unlocks when you complete the campaign mission “Sermon on the Mount.” When you reach the mission locator (a random billboard), Hurk radios and explains the Royal Army has unearthed a monkey statue in the Himalayas that he just has to have. And he needs you to steal it for him because he can’t do it himself because he brought his monkey friends along and they couldn’t take the cold. Logic isn’t exactly Hurk’s strong point, but he is strangely persuasive. Climb the hill behind the billboard to reach your sherpa.

When you arrive, the very first thing you’ll hear is the wop-wop-wop of a helicopter’s rotor. It’ll actually pass right over you, so you don’t have to shoot it down. But if you do, wait until it’s just past you, so it doesn’t land on your head.

Around the corner, you’ll see a few tents guarded by a scattered handful of guards.

It’s an easy infiltration whether you’re a sneaker, a sniper, or a shooter. The only problem is, there’s no statue. Looks like the Royal Army haven’t fully excavated it yet. You’ll have to head into the glacier’s ice caves.

Make your way toward the hanging cables that look like a ski lift crossing a chasm. There’s a grapple point on the wooden platform a short distance across, but you’ll have to drop down a bit to get a good angle on it.

Inside the tunnel, one of the first things you’ll see is a soldier standing under one of those giant ice stalactites that fall when you shoot them.

Crown him, then wait. Four more troops should arrive to investigate. You can dispatch them any way you like, but if you want a suggestion?

This.

The tunnel will now twist and branch. The lower path to the north dumps you out near a flamer guarding a hole in the ice. There’s another icicle over his head.

The southern fork leads to the same room, but from a higher point with an obscured view, and great cover from which to snipe the other soldiers in the room.

It’s an easy shootout either way so take your pick. Then drop into the hole, which turns out to be filled with water.

In real life, this next bit would be utterly terrifying. You’re swimming completely underwater, following a rope line to thin patches of ice, which you must bash through to reach that sweet, sweet oxygen.

When you finally surface, it will be underneath a dock guarded by a single soldier. Wait for him to step forward, then climb up and take him out.

Your next goal is to get to a detonator that will trigger an explosion that opens up a new area to search. But don’t sweat it. If you don’t blow up the wall within several seconds, the Royal Army does the honors for you.

Through the tunnel, you’ll discover a rocky cave filled with crumbling columns, stone carvings, and angry wildlife. Like snow leopards. And a bear.

Although the multi-level passage will split and twist, you’ll always end up at a stairway that leads to a giant Kyra statue.

The monkey statue is (thankfully) much smaller. It is also hard to locate, which is difficult to imagine given that it’s a statue of a monkey. At any rate, it’s hidden in the torch-looking thing held in Kyra’s shattered hand, which lies roughly halfway up the stairs that lead to her.

Royal Guard troops will begin to pour in from below. Once they’re handled, climb up beside Kyra’s shoulder and face the direction she’s facing. You’ll see the first of two grapples you can ascend to reach the cavern’s exit tunnel.

Back at a reasonable elevation, you’ll find Hurk toying with a new weapon that will soon be yours.
