Sand Kingdom boasts the most Power Moons of any kingdom Mario visits on his journey, and it’s also the first of the ones he encounters that contains 100 Regional Coins. Though you can’t access every Power Moon on your first visit, there’s tons to see and explore.

Five of the purple coins reside in the Strange Neighborhood area, accessible via the rocket in Tostarena Town (see Power Moon #60 and #61). There are two purple coins to the right of the ? Block beyond the two Goombas. Use a backflip or ground pound jump to reach them. The next three are on the back side of the rotating building just after the three Goombas. Leap for the building once the yellow side is down. Mario gets Cappy back as soon as he reaches the Power Moon—you may want to collect the Regional Coins with Cappy before riding the rocket back to Tostarena.
Don’t miss out on the four Regional Coins inside the circular tower’s 8-bit mural at the ruins. Drop into the gap just before passing the entry pipe to uncover this hidden alcove.
Enter the Bullet Bill Maze in Tostarena Northwest Reaches and ride a Bullet Bill into the narrow right-hand room at the first split in the path. There are six Regional Coins located here.
Three purple coins exist inside the 8-bit level within the Inverted Pyramid. Reenter from the exterior mural and activate the invisible blocks above the Bullet Bill launcher on the left. Ascend to the ceiling to get these three Regional Coins.
