When Mario set out to stop Bowser from forcing Princess Peach to marry him, he had no idea what it would lead to. But his attempt to save a friend quickly proved far more difficult than Mario could have ever anticipated. Much to Peach’s dismay, the tuxedo-clad Bowser managed to knock Mario from his ship, sending him tumbling through the night sky.

Thanks to a friendly flying top hat known as Cappy, Mario is roused from his slumber in a tiny area of the Cap Kingdom known as Bonneton. The local population isn’t just friendly, but they’ve got a stake in stopping Bowser too! One of their own, Cappy’s sister Tiara, was also kidnapped. And he wants to team up with Mario to get her back.
With Cappy’s help, Mario soon finds himself in command of the Odyssey, an incredible airship capable of traveling to more than a dozen kingdoms scattered around the globe. From the scorching sands of Tostarena to the bustling streets of New Donk City, there’s no place the Odyssey can’t go.
