Vault Overview

In addition to its galleries and records, the Vault includes the game’s Shop and the Trophy Rush minigame.

Vault Menu

The “Vault” menu contains eight options:

• Trophies: Check out trophies showcasing all kinds of Super Smash Bros. characters and items.
• Replays: Manage and watch the replays you’ve saved.
• Album: Look at the snapshots you’ve take while playing.
• Movies: Watch some Super Smash Bros. videos.
• Sounds: Listen to your favorite music and sounds from the game.
• Records: Take a look back at your milestones and stats.
• Tips: View all sorts of hints and tips gathered together in one place.
• Masterpieces: Check out some of the original games the fighters came from.

Trophies Overview

Visit the “Trophies” menu for a closer look at your trophy collection, to purchase new trophies from the Shop, or to play a round of Trophy Rush.

Gallery

Gallery gives you an up-close look at all of the trophies you’ve collected, as well as information about the objects and characters they represent.

While viewing a trophy, press to view the related trophy box. As your collection grows, revisit your trophy boxes to check your progress!

Trophies can be organized by the order in which you obtained them, by series, or by category—use and to switch between these options.

Hoard

Hoard allows you to see all of your trophies in one large group. Use the on-screen commands to control the viewing angle and zoom level.

Trophy Rush

In Trophy Rush, you have a limited time to smash blocks for trophies and other prizes—the more gold you invest, the more time you get! Each second costs six gold. You can purchase a minimum of 30 seconds (for 180 gold) up to a maximum of 2 minutes and 30 seconds (for 900 gold). You can play Trophy Rush alone, or you can team up with a friend.

Use your fighter’s abilities to shatter the blocks as they appear. Destroying blocks adds to your score and fills the Fever Rush Gauge. Many blocks contain trophies, gold, and customization items, so keep an eye out for any blocks marked with relevant icons. Some blocks explode shortly after they land. Destroy explosive blocks before they detonate or keep your distance to avoid any impending explosions.

Destroy blocks in quick succession to earn chain bonuses for even more points, and fill the gauge near the top of the screen to enter Fever Rush. During Fever Rush, most of the falling blocks contain valuable prizes!

If you remain in one spot for too long, a special hazard will drop down to your position. If you take too much damage, you’ll be launched out of the stage—and each time this happens, your remaining time is reduced by 15 seconds. Additionally, allowing the blocks to stack too high will result in a KO! Watch the line near the top of the screen; shortly after a stack reaches that line, the entire platform vanishes. If this happens, the platform won’t return until after you’ve fallen out of the stage.

Shop

In the game’s Shop, you can use gold to purchase new trophies. The Shop contains up to eight trophies at a time. Visit the Shop regularly to check for new stock and special sales.

Replays

View and manage your saved replays! Replays can be organized by the order in which they were saved, by creator, by stage, or by game mode. Use and to cycle through these options. Select a replay to view it, add a brief comment, or delete it from your collection.

Album

Album lets you review and manage all of the snapshots you’ve taken while playing the game. You can view individual images, add brief comments, create albums, and delete unwanted snapshots from your collection.

Movies

Movies lets you review a variety of game-related videos. You’ll find a nice selection of videos when you start a new game, but new videos will be added to your collection as you unlock them.

Sounds

Sounds allows you to listen to all of the music and voice samples you’ve unlocked. Press to flag a specific track as one of your favorites. Follow the on-screen commands to control playback, and use and to switch between the available tabs.

Records

Records contains information about how you’ve been playing the game. Review your fighter records, current stats, and all of the milestones you’ve earned.

Fighter Records

Review extensive records for each of the fighters on your roster! Records for offline and online performances can be combined or viewed separately. Use and to switch between the available tabs.

The game tracks virtually everything each fighter does—from the KOs a character has scored to how many coins he or she has collected. Use the Left Stick to switch categories. Press to show a list of available categories. You’ll have all of the information you need to determine just how effective you’ve been with each fighter.

Stats

Stats tracks virtually every detail of how you’ve been playing the game. How many times have you turned on the game? How many total KOs have you scored? How much gold have you spent on trophies? If you’re curious about how you’ve spent your time in-game, this is the section for you!

Milestones

Check all of the milestones you’ve reached in the game and when you reached them. Use the Left Stick to scroll through your milestones and see how far you’ve come!

Tips

Tips contains loads of helpful information about fighters, game modes, items, and more. When you’re looking for something new to try, visit this menu to cycle through pages of randomly selected tips.

Masterpieces

Masterpieces contains playable demos featuring many of the characters and items found in Super Smash Bros.! Each demo can be played for a short time, but there’s no limit to how often you can play. Most of the demos are available by default, but a few must be unlocked by completing corresponding challenges.

Unlocking Masterpieces

The Games & More “amiibo” feature allows you to create and manage your amiibo Figure Players. When prompted, tap an amiibo figure on your Nintendo Wii U GamePad to create your Figure Player. Select a default look and choose a name to complete a Figure Player creation.

After you create a Figure Player, use the “amiibo” feature to assign alternate Special moves or feed it unwanted equipment. Alternate Specials only become available as you unlock them in the game. Any equipment you feed to a Figure Player will be destroyed, but all stats and bonus effects granted to your Figure Player in the process are permanent.
