Back Air Attack DAMAGE 6~13.5%

Wii Fit Trainer shows her agility and flexibility by doing Cobra pose in the air! This functions much like a dropkick, as both legs extending behind her kick the opponent away.

Special Attacks

Sun Salutation (Neutral Special) DAMAGE 5% FULL CHARGE 18%

Charge up a ball of energy. Hit Shield, Left or Right, to store your charge. Tap the button a second time to release the projectile. If charged all the way, this deals more DAMAGE and heals Wii Fit Trainer for 1%

Enriched Sun Salutation DAMAGE 3% FULL CHARGE 20%

This variation charges to full much faster and has a smaller sphere. Compared to the default Sun Salutation, the charged DAMAGE is higher, but the uncharged DAMAGE is lower. Additionally, there is no healing effect with this alternate Special.

Sweeping Sun Salutation DAMAGE 1.2% MAX DAMAGE 4.8% : 4 Hits
FULL CHARGE 1.6% MAX DAMAGE 12.8% : 8 Hits

This Sun Salutation hits opponents multiple times and pushes them away. It takes longer to charge up, and it moves slower than the regular version. Using it while fully charged heals Wii Fit Trainer for 2%.

Header (Side Special) DAMAGE 10~15% MAX DAMAGE 23.9% : 2 Hits
BALL DAMAGE 8.9~11.8%

Toss a soccer ball into the air before jumping up to head it at the opponent. Press the button again to head it earlier or press the Shield button to cancel the header. Only one ball can be out at a time, so if you repeat the attack too early, Wii Fit Trainer jumps to do the header portion of the attack without the ball. This header without the ball has a meteor effect.

Huge Header DAMAGE 10~15% MAX DAMAGE 19.2% : 2 Hits
BALL DAMAGE 4.2~9.8%

A larger ball for Wii Fit Trainer to head. It moves slower, but the ball stays out longer. Rushing to head the ball by hitting the button again quickly doesn’t change the angle of the header as it does in the regular version.

Weighted Header DAMAGE 10~15% MAX DAMAGE 26.6% : 2 Hits
BALL DAMAGE 11.6~16%

This heavier version of the ball does not travel as far but deals more DAMAGE. Once headed, the ball doesn’t stay out very long and falls faster than the regular version. You can’t change the angle of the ball by heading it earlier.

Super Hoop (Up Special) DAMAGE 5%

Wii Fit Trainer hula hoops to safety. Rapidly press the button to rise faster. You can also move Wii Fit Trainer left or right as she ascends. This is also an attack that can hit opponents, but it doesn’t knock them back very far.

Jumbo Hoop DAMAGE 6% MAX DAMAGE 30% : 5 Hits

This larger hoop grants Wii Fit Trainer more horizontal mobility but less vertical mobility. Another important difference is this Jumbo Hoop can hit opponents multiple times.

Hoop Hurricane DAMAGE 2% MAX DAMAGE 10% : 5 Hits

Wii Fit Trainer’s hula hoops pull in opponents as she rises, then knocks them upward when the hoops hit. These hoops can hit multiple times, but they also “prevent Wii Fit Trainer from moving horizontally.

Deep Breathing (Down Special) DAMAGE 0%

Wii Fit Trainer breathes in to relax. During this, an outer circle approaches an inner red circle. Hit the button when they meet to gain additional DAMAGE and launching power, reduced DAMAGE taken, and slightly increased walk speed. You also recover 2% health. If you don’t time this right, you are left vulnerable.

Volatile Breathing DAMAGE 8~15%

This forbidden breathing method causes an explosion! Wii Fit Trainer has super armor during the startup of this variation. None of Wii Fit Trainer’s abilities are increased on success.

Steady Breathing DAMAGE 0%

With this alternate Special, Wii Fit Trainer becomes much harder to launch and regains 5% health. but you are not be able to use the attack again for some time. This effect lasts about 6 seconds.

Final Smash

Wii Fit

Wii Fit Trainer emits multicolored yoga pose silhouettes as she attacks. These yoga poses expand as they move outward from Wii Fit Trainer, hitting anyone in their way. Each hit only does about 5% DAMAGE. While not dealing the most DAMAGE or knockback, this is very effective on both small and large stages because of its incredible range. Look for groups of opponents near the sides of stages, and try to hit them from as close as possible. The more yoga poses that hit, the farther the opponents will be pushed off the stage.

Strategy

While being one of the more unexpected characters, Wii Fit Trainer is quite a capable fighter! Her yoga poses hit surprisingly hard, and she has a few attacks with special properties to increase their usability. Given that she is also able to increase her DAMAGE and launching power by using Deep Breathing, it’s clear she doesn’t have any issue in KOing opponents. Her weaknesses are her average weight and average mobility.

Wii Fit Trainer’s Sun Salutation is a great projectile attack you can charge up over time. When charging, use Left, Right, or Shield to retain the charge and either evasive roll or shield. The projectile itself can be rather large, increasing its effectiveness. The larger it gets, the more DAMAGE it delivers. Header is a projectile attack in which Wii Fit Trainer headbutts a soccer ball at the opponent. It’s strongest when you can get both Wii Fit Trainer’s head and the ball to hit the opponent, but you don’t have much control of the angle the ball travels, so it isn’t too effective. It deals good DAMAGE, however, and you have the option to fake it by hitting the Shield button. You can also use this is to slow your horizontal momentum when being knocked off-stage—it doesn’t leave you in a fall state and makes you drop vertically. Deep Breathing’s main use is to increase DAMAGE and knockback. While it can heal you, this is so minimal that the power output and DAMAGE reduction are what you’re actually trying to gain by using it. But every percent of lower health might mean the difference between surviving or being KO’d!

In the air, Wii Fit Trainer’s best options for KOs are Forward Air—if you can sweet-spot it—or Back Air. Forward Air can send opponents downward at high percentages off Wii Fit Trainer’s back leg, but Down Air is your main meteor smash. On the ground, Side Smash hits both in front of and behind Wii Fit Trainer and has great KO potential. Note that Up Smash has invincibility, but it’s very rare you will hit a grounded opponent with it, so focus your efforts against airborne characters. All of Wii Fit Trainer’s tilt attacks are quick with minimal recovery, so incorporate these into your poke game. After a dash attack, the knockback usually gives you enough time to charge up your Sun Salutation. For edge-guarding, use Sun Salutation, Header, Down Smash, and Back Air.

Recovery

Wii Fit Trainer’s main recovery tool is her Super Hoop. This attack can raise Wii Fit Trainer higher if you rapidly press the button. It recovers more vertically than it does horizontally, but it certainly takes you far enough before leaving you in a falling state. Using Header can get you some extra lift while also attacking the opponent. If you cancel the Header by hitting the Shield button, you enter a fall state, but if you don’t cancel it, you won’t enter a fall state. Additionally, you can slow your fall by using Deep Breathing. This is generally a good idea, as it increases many of your statistics if you time it correctly. If you don’t time it right, though, it takes some extra time before you can use the Super Hoop.
