Side Activities

Help Thy Neighbor

Trophy: silver Gamer Points: 50

Complete a side mission. A side mission in Kuwaq Yaku allows completion of this Achievement fairly early. Refer to the Kuwaq Yaku section of our walkthrough for full details

Good Samaritan

Trophy: Bronze Gamer Points: 10

Complete eight side missions. There are eight total side missions: one in Kuwaq Yaku, eleven in Paititi, and another in Mission of San Juan. Refer to our walkthrough for Mission Giver locations and details for each quest.

Unwelcome Guests

Trophy: Bronze Gamer Points: 25

Get rid of the pillagers outside of Kuwaq Yaku. Follow the row of buildings along the river in Kuwaq Yaku to find a man in need of assistance. The side mission sends you into the nearby woods, where pillagers threaten the villagers.

Hearts and Minds

Trophy: Bronze Gamer Points: 20

Retrieve Manko’s Necklace. Talk to Uchu on your first visit to Paititi to begin the “Draw Weight Heavily” side mission. Complete it to unlock “Draw Weight Heavily - Hearts and Minds.” Navigate the cistern and loot the sarcophagus to find the necklace.

I Believe Hakan Fly

Trophy: bronze Gamer Points: 25

Rescue Hakan from the cultists. During the second visit to Paititi, Lara makes her way into Upper Paititi. There, a side mission automatically begins as you progress through the objectives. Complete the mission by freeing Hakan from the prison.

Beast of Legend

Trophy: bronze Gamer Points: 25

Defeat the Nahual. Nahual is fought as part of the side mission “Draw Weight Heavily - The Champion’s Bow” in Paititi. You must complete Uchu’s first two steps of this side mission, “The King’s Horn” and “Hearts and Minds.” These are available when you first visit Paititi. “The Champion’s Bow” isn’t available until you return to Skull Cave in Paititi after completing Mission of San Juan.

Up to the Challenge

Trophy: bronze Gamer Points: 10

Complete five challenges. Challenges are region-specific objectives, which must be discovered before appearing on the Status screen. All 14 challenges are listed in the following table. Refer to the walkthrough for more information.

Tomb Raider

Trophy: silver Gamer Points: 50

Complete all challenge tombs in the main campaign. There are nine challenge tombs in all: two in Peruvian Jungle, one in Kuwaq Yaku, three in Hidden City, one in Cenotes, and two in Mission of San Juan. Refer to our walkthrough for their entrances, maps, and full step-by-step directions.

Resting Places

Trophy: bronze Gamer Points: 10

Uncover three crypts’ secrets. Two crypts are available as early as Peruvian Jungle, and a third can be explored in Kuwaq Yaku. Find the sarcophagi inside these three crypts, or another three. All nine crypts are covered in the walkthrough chapters.

Legendary Hunter

Trophy: bronze Gamer Points: 20

Hunt and loot five rare animals. Hunting grounds are outside the villages of Kuwaq Yaku, Paititi, and Mission of San Juan. While numerous common animals can be hunted in these areas, sometimes you encounter an exotic animal such as the empress jaguar or black wolf. Hunt the wildlife and loot the rare hides and feathers.
