When you enter the Floatyard from the D.E.C., you start out in the Electric Light Parade Area. Around you, you’ll find piles of malfunctioning floats, remnants from electrical parades long past. You can try to figure out a way to repair the pirate ship float or blast through the Beetleworx Replicator.

Basher

Avoid the long reach of the Basher, which can cut you to pieces. Bashers move quickly, so stay alert at all times against them. Rely on Thinner at range to strip its armor down, then make sure to Spin Attack the glowing green light when the thing is dazed.

Right away, you face a Beetleworx Replicator, which sends a Basher at you. You can thin the Basher to expose a weak point on its back once the armor disappears. Spin attack the weak point to cause damage. Oswald can also zap the Bashers to slow them down.

Before you take out the Replicator, paint in the missing drums in the area and bounce up to the ledge.

OPTIONAL QUEST

THE ENCYCLOPAEDIA WASTELANDICA

Take a picture of the Electric Light floats from the spot above the drums.

Thin out the large clown face on the wall nearby to expose an electrical console under the nose. Move closer to it and have Oswald activate the console. This opens up the mouth and a secret tunnel.

OPTIONAL QUEST

FINDING THE HIDDEN HEROES

Look for a hidden Mickey symbol on the hippo float high above the clown face.

Scan the area inside the clown tunnel. Two paintable marionettes are positioned to help you cross a chasm. However, there are two machines spraying Thinner at the marionettes to prevent you from painting them. Thin out the hinges of the sprayers to stop the Thinner sprays.

When you reach the other side, Mickey and Oswald should hit the gears in the wall simultaneously to open the door. Outside is a series of drums over a huge chasm. For now, you just want to thin out a secret cave above the first drum and then paint in that drum.

Bounce up from the drum into the thinned-out cave for a golden Cloth.

The drums can take you to the next area if you wish, but return to the start so you don’t miss any collectibles.

After that short detour, it is time to take care of business back in the Electric Light Parade Area. Thin out the swinging legs of the large elephant float. Once they are thinned, Oswald can throw Mickey up to a small alcove.

Magic Light Parade Pin

Open up the red chest in the cave behind the thinned-out elephant legs for the Magic Light Parade Pin.

Now that you have gathered the goodies in the area, you must deal with the Basher. To follow the restoration path in this area, paint the clown nose and use the drums to bounce up to it. From the nose, hop over to the ledge above the Replicator. Paint in the wire and console so Oswald can reprogram the Replicator.

Push the bee float off the ledge and drop down. There are two large wires running from the boat to the pedestals in the center of the area. Paint in any missing sections of the wires, and move the bee float into the empty pedestal.

A Spinner comes out and attacks after you open up the boat. Deal with it by thinning the armor and attacking it when it flops onto its back.

Gremlin Boots

A blue chest lies just inside the open board door and inside the alcove to the left. Oswald can open this chest for the boots from the Gremlin Costume.

Paint in the gold piles opposite from the blue chest to form a stairway going up. The door at the top of the gold piles requires you to pull a Mickey handle while Oswald reprograms the door open.

The path ends right inside the doorway, but there are air currents flowing upward. Glide with Oswald into the air currents, and ride them around the bend to a safe landing.

At the end of the air passage is another door. Once again, Mickey needs to pull the lever so that Oswald can reprogram it. The door leads to the upper walkway of the Floatyard canyon.

If you want to take the destructive path in the Electric Light Parade Area instead, start by thinning out the eye on the top of the Beetleworx Replicator.. Take care of the Basher once you shut down the Replicator, and notice the destructible wall behind the Replicator. Drag over some fireworks to blast open the wall.

Continue past the destructible wall into a tunnel blocked by a circus train car. You and Oswald must hit the series of dual switches several times to pass each car. After opening a couple of those gates, Oswald can open a door leading to the bottom passage of the Floatyard canyon. This path leads directly to the end of the level.

Back on the top path in the canyon, you can see the Three Little Pigs Pocket Watch on a cliff above.

OPTIONAL QUEST

WATCH THE SKIES

Oswald can toss you up to make a double-jump onto the cliff so you can collect the Three Little Pigs Pocket Watch.

After you get the watch and land back on the top path, jump to the drum hanging on the left wall of the canyon.

Jump along the series of objects sticking out of the wall until you reach the Goofy lollipops at the top.

Once you reach the top Goofy lollipop, Thin the wall on the left to reveal a hidden golden Cloth.

OPTIONAL QUESTS

FINDING THE HIDDEN HEROES

You can find a hidden Oswald symbol on the soldier hat in the canyon.

Return down the staircase to the upper canyon path if you want to explore the side area or you can continue to the elevator and skip to waypoint 11.

THE ENCYCLOPAEDIA WASTELANDICA

Jump to the cliff opposite the lollipop and take a picture of the canyon to build your Wastelandica portfolio.

If you take the right turn on the upper path, it leads to a cave with a pair of large cuckoo clocks blocking the way.

OPERATION GREMLIN DROP

For your last task in the area, free the Gremlin trapped on the nearby ledge.

Oswald can use the nearby console to open the path, but it only stays open for a few seconds. To make sure the clocks remain closed, paint in the doors to the clocks after Oswald closes them.

OPTIONAL QUEST

FINDING THE HIDDEN HEROES

Look for a hidden Mickey symbol around the mouth of the cave to the next area.

The side area is home to a large float shaped like the character Stromboli. If you entered the Floatyard from the Building a Building projector, you begin in a secret cave here. At the base of the Stromboli float, you must fight off some Hoppers.

To restore the Stromboli float, you must step on a pressure plate near his right leg. This opens his chest, revealing a secret room.

Climb up into the room and paint in the missing gears to restore functionality to the float’s arms.

With the arms working again, the lifts in the arms move back and forth. You can now ride the lifts up to the cave leading back to the Floatyard canyon.

If you want to destroy the Stromboli float instead, start off by thinning his left leg.

With the leg thinned, you see a panel on what remains of his leg. You can hit the panel to open it up and Oswald can shock the console underneath. Repeat this on the other leg to cause an explosion that opens a passage in the belly of the float.

Climb up to inspect the new passage. You see a fireworks dispenser and several steam pipes inside the passage. Thin out all the pipes and return to the dispenser for some fireworks.

Drag the fireworks through the tunnel and detonate them near the wall at the end. This opens up a way back to the bottom path of the canyon. If you came from the secret entrance, you can backtrack to pick up the collectibles from the first half of the level.

At this point, all the various paths meet up in the canyon. No matter where you came from, head to the end where an elevator awaits. Grab the handle and move to the left to open the doorway.

This leads to the Alice Area, filled with decorations from Alice in Wonderland. Prescott taunts you one last time before disappearing into a projector on a raised ledge at the top of a building. The doorway blows up and a Tanker appears.

Tanker

The toughest of the Beetleworx to defend against, the Tanker attacks with a potent punch and a Paint and Thinner cannon. The cannon can have unforeseen consequences on the environment, because it can thin out toon objects as well as restore objects you might want thinned out. Take this enemy out first on the battlefield with the standard Thinner and Spin Move combination.

Luckily, you don’t have to fight this Tanker. There is a console to the right of the door you can paint. Oswald can then reprogram the console and the Tanker will become your ally.

On the left side of the room, thin out a large chunk of the hedge wall to reveal a secret room with a golden Cloth.

OPTIONAL QUEST

THE BUNNY WRANGLERS (VISIT 2)

Look for a pipe in this area for The Bunny Wrangler optional quest, which you can use during a second visit.

Now you can choose whether to follow the restorative or destructive path. There are two different projectors based on the path you choose. Start the restorative path by painting all the missing platforms on the right side.

Once you’ve painted in all the platforms, dip yourself in the Invisible Ink Well in the center of the area. If the Ink Well is empty or full of Thinner, paint in the thinned-out Toon in the area.

While you are invisible, slowly move over to the mushroom platform and start jumping up each step as slowly as possible because the Ink will fall off if you move too fast.

Don’t Just Do Something, Stand There! Pin

When you reach the third platform, jump up to the ledge on the right with the red eye beam. If you make the trip successfully with Invisible Ink, open the red chest for the Don’t Just Do Something, Stand There! Pin.

After collecting the unique Pin, drop down and dip into the Ink Well for some more Invisible Ink. Take the same path, but this time jump over to the spinning cards and quickly over to the doorway. If you managed to keep a smidgen of Ink, you can bypass the security eye and access the Band Concert projector to Prescott’s Arena.

OPTIONAL QUEST

A FRIEND IN DEED

If you run out of ink, you can take a picture of the eye spying you on the top platform near the projector for the quest A Friend in Deed.

To complete the destructive path and access the secret projector, start by thinning out the wall to the left of the building. A statue inside is powering the robotic hand. If you thin out the base of the statue, it disables the hand and drops the fireworks.

Set off the fireworks on the left wall next to the explosion sign. This isn’t enough to break the wall, though, so you must seek out some more fireworks.

Oswald can toss Mickey up to the open robot hand.

Steamboat Willie Pants

Locate the Steamboat Willie Pants near the top of the robot hand in a special panel. This panel only opens if you followed the destructive path in the Train Tunnels.

Thin out the nose of the clown statue and have Oswald use the console to turn on a fan.

Use the air currents to reach the roof of the building.

Thin out the chimney, and Oswald can reprogram the console inside. The second robot arm drops another set of fireworks to the ground.

Light up the Sky Pin

Set off the second set of fireworks to finish the job and open up the secret room inside the building. Collect the Light up the Sky Pin.

Notice the mist of Thinner protecting the projector inside the secret room. To pass this mist, thin out objects around the Ink Well to turn it into Indelible Ink. Shield yourself in the gold ink and pass through the mist unscathed.

Completing either path also unlocks the Full-Court Prescott challenge. This Old Mill projector will take you to the Thinner version of the second part of the Prescott Arena boss fight.
