“When I watched Disney cartoons, I remember everything being larger than life. Of course, I was five then, but there was this sense of awe. It was important for me to recreate that feeling with the vision. I wanted the player to see something beautiful every time the camera moved. I wanted the player to experience that same sense of wonder when they looked around.” –Bernadette L.

LEVEL OVERVIEW
Fresh from your victory over the Blotworx Dragon, you find out that someone sabotaged the projectors. Prescott is the chief suspect. When you return to Mean Street South, your main objective is to take the sewer entrance to the Underground. However, before you leave there are some optional tasks to complete. Stop by the local shops and check for updated inventories. In particular, the Emporium has additional health upgrades, new pins, a Watch Sketch upgrade (if you didn’t buy this on the first visit), plus some other goodies.
If you repaired the train station’s clock during your first visit to Mean Street South, you can now use it to find Walt’s hidden apartment. For the first step, Oswald should toss Mickey up to the clock tower.
If you hit the clock with a Spin Attack, the hands change times. Keep hitting the clock until the time reads 4:30.
After you set the clock to 4:30, head over to the Fire Station and paint the bell tower. Ring the painted bell and then drop to street level. Next, thin out the top level of the Fire Station.
If you painted and thinned correctly, you will see a doorway to a secret apartment. Enter to earn the goodies inside Walt’s apartment.
Meet Your Maker Pin
If you’ve set the clock tower to 4:30 and uncovered the hidden entrance to Walt’s apartment above the Fire Station, you can enter to claim a golden E-ticket and open a red chest containing the Meet Your Maker Pin.
JUNCTION POINT
HORACE
On your second visit to Mean Street South, you can speak with your old friend Horace and he’ll offer you the Horace’s Assistant Assistance quest. He’s tired of his current assistant and wants a new one. If you choose to help your old friend, Horace will be happy and appear in the game’s ending with Clarabelle. If you choose to ignore Horace’s request, or fail to complete all the steps, Horace will be upset and will appear by himself in the game’s ending.
OPTIONAL QUEST
HORACE’S ASSISTANT ASSISTANCE
Stop by the Detective Agency and Horace asks you to help get rid of his annoying assistant, Tedworth. You’ll earn the new quest, Horace’s Assistant Assistance, which sends you around the zones searching for a new assistant for Horace. To start, you need to find all the parts of Tedworth’s teddy bear in Blot Alley.
Leave the apartment and go back on the Fire Station roof. The Gremlins are trying to get caught up on repairs to the buildings that have been damaged by the quakes.
You find a Gremlin up on the Fire Station roof, but he needs some Scrap Metal to repair the building. If you help him, the repaired building opens up an entrance to the Widget Room in the Underground. Alternately, you can destroy the structure by using the Fairy Sketch on the two side panels and having Oswald shock the switches underneath. Destroying the structure earns you extra Scrap Metal.
Back near the train station, you can speak with another Gremlin to open a pair of large wooden doors. This grants access to the tunnels leading to Seth and the flower garden behind the train station. This costs Scrap Metal, however, so you’re better off just thinning the train station staircase and using the ramp next to the Mean Street entrance.
A large robot head in need of repair stands in the center of town. You can ask the nearby Gremlin to repair it for a large chunk of Scrap Metal. The repaired robot head lifts up and leads to an underground passage. If you wish to destroy the robot head instead, thin the two sections around the top of the head and have Oswald reprogram the terminals hidden underneath. This gives you extra Scrap Metal, but cuts you off from using the underground passage.
OPTIONAL QUEST – THE BUNNY WRANGLERS
Look for a pipe to the Bunny Wranglers optional quest on the opposite side of the stairs from the large wooden doors. As with all the Bunny pipes, you can suck up the little critters here if you choose.
After you jump in the robot mouth, fix the leaking pipes in the passage by painting the seals over the cracks in the pipes.
The end of the passage seems to be a dead-end, but you can actually paint in a walkway outside.
Follow the walkway outside to find a secret door that leads to the Bridge Room in the Underground.
Once you rescue the trapped Gremlin in Blot Alley, you can repair the broken trash compactor around the corner from the Emporium. Repairing the trash compactor opens an entrance to the Vault Room in the Underground. If you want to destroy the trash compactor instead, go around the back of the building and thin some rubble to access a small ledge. From there, you can have Oswald use his Boomarmerang to break the clamps holding the trash compactor together.
OPTIONAL QUEST
WATCH THE SKIES
Gremlin Copernicus, or Laralee in the Museum, asks you to return special items scattered around the Wasteland. If you return these items to him, you will be rewarded with pins. You can also turn the items over to Laralee at the Museum, but you only receive Scrap Metal.
Head to the elevator next to the train station and enter the Observatory. If you have unique items to turn in, you can earn some cool pins.
Once you have finished your business in the area, use the sewer entrance to the Underground. If you freed the Gremlin in the Underground earlier, you can also take his balloon directly to Mean Street North, but you’ll miss a couple pins in the Underground.
